Summary: the hotel is nice, but the service was terrible.
Arrived and the bellman helped with luggage, that was a nice touch. At first everything seemed good but then one by one things got worse.
I asked at the hotel restaurant for change for a 500 peso bill so I could tip the doorman for helping with the luggage. He was extremely rude and said NO. Not even in a polite way, just a rude. I believe it was the manager.
Then at check in the staff was nice but one policy you should know is that check in is at FOUR 4pm!! and check out is at 11am! VERY inconvenient when you are transferring from another hotel.
Now it got bad. We checked in and left for a bit. When we came back we noticed the window shades were closed and it was dark in the room. We left them open. We asked the front desk and they paused then said "Oh, we provide courtesies like this to our guests." but it was like he invented that on the spot.
We did NOT give any authorization to enter our room without notice. We were not told about "courtesies" like this during check-in.It was very suspicious that someone went into our room without asking us after we already unpacked. The pillows are unusable. They are so big that we could not lay our heads on them comfortably.When I asked for others, they had none. lastly I left my electronic toothbrush in the bathroom after check out. When I called to ask for them to hold it for me , they said they didnt have it. I know i left it. It just dissapeared.. do not trust Onto.
