"This is a very old hotel, and it smells kind of musty or mouldy. The room was very hot when we arrived and it took a long time to get it comfortable I would definitely not stay again because it is too expensive for what you get The breakfast was absolute fantastic but there again it doesn’t make sense that you have to pay extra for it if the rest of the value wasn’t that great"

"Shambalanté is truly a hidden jewel in the heart of the Yucatecan jungle—a sanctuary for the soul. From the moment you arrive, time seems to slow down, replaced by a deep sense of peace, quiet, and connection with nature. Everything about this place invites you to breathe more deeply, to let go, and to reconnect with yourself and with the nature around you. The surroundings are simply magical, and the atmosphere feels both grounding and gently transformative. And the food… absolutely wonderful. Thoughtfully prepared, nourishing, and full of flavor, it complements the entire experience beautifully. If I had known just how special Shambalanté is, I would have stayed a full week instead of just three days. Thank you to Doris, Ricardo, and the rest of the team. I will definitely be back."
