"Excellent overall experience at the property and Roatan. We loved the house with the pool and beach. It was very tranquil and relaxing but with easy access to the Cove and the Roatan Island Brewing Company. The house was spacious, clean, and well furnished. Check in was a breeze. We brought travel hammocks to setup in the shade of the palm trees. Don’t forget to the bug spray. "

"Where to begin with this rental! Complete misrepresentation, stove does not work, dishwasher does not work, fridge broke down twice while we were there spoiling some of our food. We were without water on 3 occasions for extended periods of time due to faulty equipment having to visit the clubhouse to use the restroom. The pool tiles are all coming off and sitting on the bottom of the pool. The mattresses and pillows were absolutely disgusting. There was mold in the one room and flooded when it rained, our responsibility to clean up. The cookware was unusable we had to purchase our own frying pan. The barbecue belonged in the garbage. I have attached some of the photos I took it only allows me to post 8! We were not refunded any money for the inconveniences and this is advertised as luxury? VRBO is aware of the situation and did nothing for us during or after our stay. They should be removing this property from their platform immediately!"

"The location of our stay was amazing - BUT we had to fight to get this location after our 1st choice was denied after having already been accepted. Communication with the host was lacking and very stressful. Details should be conveyed in a timely fashion. The pool could have been cleaned more than 2x week. Hydro is costly everywhere. Golf at the BlackPearl is more targeted to the cruises coming in instead of villa guests & members. "

"Truly the most beautiful beach we saw during our entire time on the island. This private island is absolutely gorgeous. The beach alone makes it worth the visit. The rooms could use some updating, and the food felt more like filler food than anything memorable. That said, the drinks kept coming and the beach was easily the best we experienced anywhere on the island. If you want to avoid crowds and simply enjoy a stunning beach in a peaceful setting, this resort is a great choice. Unfortunately, you will need to wait for them to rebuild. The resort actually burned to the ground the same day we checked out. Quite a shocking end to an otherwise beautiful stay."
