"Beautiful surroundings, warm welcome on arrival and a lovely surprise room upgrade! Clean spacious rooms, tea and biscuits stocked up daily with house keeping. Very nice breakfast and great options. Staff are pleasant, professional and very friendly. I especially enjoyed the daily fresh bakery by the coffee machine in the communal lounge! Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be returning"

"We spent a one night stay at Armathwaite Hall Hotel and immediately wished it was for longer...The reception staff were exceptionally welcoming, indeed all staff were friendly and helpful. Fortunately, the Lake View resturant was open for dinner during our stay; the food was delightful, well presented and perfectly proportioned. The spa was lovely, especially, the outdoor jacuzzi overlooking the gardens; which seemed a big hit with all of the guests...Overall we had a wonderful, restful stay and we fully intend to return in the very near future."

"Stayed here 6 yrs ago before we got msrried do decided to stay again for our anniversary. Hotel is perfectly situated for both the motorway and Gretna. Despite being at a service station it's quiet enough to not disturb your sleep. Rooms are clean and functional and perfect if you just need somewhere to sleep and shower."
