I'm giving a 3-star rating only because the food was excellent and the kitchen staff were outstanding. The food was consistently delicious and catered well to our tastes. We appreciated the variety, something new every day and most of the kitchen staff were friendly and approachable
Deposit Confusion:
On the first day, we paid the deposit for the swimming towels in euros, as we didn’t have any dirhams. However, we noticed that the remaining change was returned in dirhams, which wasn’t explained to us at the time. We even asked the staff member who conducted our briefing if we’d get the deposit back in euros, and she confirmed that we would. Nothing was mentioned about an exchange.
The day before checkout, we had to argue with the staff to get our deposit returned in euros. They claimed we had already exchanged the money, which wasn’t true and this was never communicated to us. Eventually, after some back and forth, we did get the deposit back in euros, but the whole situation was frustrating and poorly handled.
Room Issues:
The bathroom drain was blocked, and it flooded every time we took a shower. We had to use towels to keep the water from spreading into the room. We reported it twice, but no one came to fix it.
The fridge wasn’t working.
The safe didn’t work either.
The tea table was stained.
The body shower gel bottle was empty on arrival and never refilled, despite daily room cleaning.
Shuttle Bus Timing:
I really wish the free shuttle bus had more convenient timings.
