"A great location. Near shopping and restaurants. Parking is convenient and included. The movie theater is part of the property. Nice historic hotel. "

"We've stayed at this hotel before and have always enjoyed it. This time we were given an upgrade which was particularly nice. The breakfasts are very good. The people at the desk are always very kind and helpful and the location is wonderful. My quibble (and it's a small one) is that there is no pad and pen or pencil by the telephone. Nor are there the little goodies like hand lotion that one half expects."

"The Birchwood Inn was out of the way, but it was worth it. It was a nice country in on a very quiet road. Our room was very comfortable, and snacks as well as a continental breakfast was included. A restaurant was attached to the Inn and although we didn't eat there, we had a drink at their bar and the atmosphere was very friendly. The staff could not have been nicer or more friendly."

"Lots of things were lovely; fantastic room service food (unbelievably fresh and delicious, better than anywhere I’ve ever eaten in a hotel while traveling), beautiful serene natural setting, and wonderful design of the buildings plus COOKIES and tea in the afternoon. "Excellent breakfast. Very pretty yard. Close to downtown Brattleboro. But limited staff on site and limited engagement with staff. Also, the house decor felt a bit more tired than quaint. Also, large edges at the beginning of the driveway that opens to a lots of traffic, need to be pruned or taken down because the inhibit seeing ongoing traffic (safety issue)."
