Absolutely spotless room, the bedding was amazing, the beds were super comfortable. The people were the nicest people ever and we enjoyed them very much. We had a wonderful stay in Vermont. They advised us on where to dine, at the Marina and it was spot on amazing. We had breakfast at The Porch in the morning and the lovely girl even called to make sure they were open before we drove there. We had amazing food there as well.

The Black Mountain Inn has seen some decades...but it is well kept up with kindly staff. --Immediately off the I-91 exit, on the main road into Brattlelboro with fast food and cafes nearby. --Room as described and parking available next to it --Marvelous motel cat is part of the welcome committee --Maps and brochures as well as knowledgeable staff --Negative? The "breakfast" is actually coffee, various snack bars and pkg'd baked goods and yogurt. So, if you really need breakfast, you'll have to go out...

The customer service alone here makes me want to stay here time and time again! Every single staff member I dealt with at the front desk and on the phone was so kind and extremely pleasant to deal with. As a solo traveler, this also gave me a feeling of safety which I truly appreciate. The rooms may be slightly outdated, but was clean and comfortable for a one night stay. The mattress was a bit softer than I prefer, but the A/C ran great and I slept like a baby all night with zero disturbance. Would definitely stay at Black Mountain Inn again if I'm in the area.
