The management were wonderful and couldn’t do enough for you. The motel is older but the rooms were clean, comfortable and well maintained with a good selection of appliances and stocked with quality tea and coffee. All a single traveler could want.

It is clean and basic. I was put in a room with no parking. The airport is not far away and the noise of the planes was a bit annoying. The office was locked most of the time and I was unable to speak to the staff about any of my issues.

Lodge needs urgent upgrade

Frankly this was the worst motel we have stayed in for over 20 years. The only thong to it's favour was the friendliness of receptionist, Chris. No room service, bathroom door could not be closed due to rusted door frame. No proper maintenance has been carried out for many years. While present air conditioner worked well but the old rattler unit was still in place and the front panel fell off when I touched it.. Soap dispensers were useless and the only functional unit had not been refilled. Shower recesses are tiny and there was nowhere to put my soap. Remains of old attachments have not been repaired or removed. Water damage in the bathroom not repaired and paint blistering off. Chairs had bent legs which is a safety hazard - could be eaily fixed by bending the legs back to normal.. I must admit that the old refrigerator worked well but was a bit rusty. Another small plus was that the sheets were clean although I could not sleep with the over-firm pillow. My wife's vie of the two units we used was that it was "pretty tacky".
