Log Home, spectacular views,situated, area surrounded by lakes BC Reg#H096682329

We comply with all short term rental bylaws.
Situated on 4.5 acres of treed land you have a feeling of isolation and tranquility. Very comfortable, quiet, close to many lakes, mountain trails and the ocean in the most beautiful Harbour on the coast.
Steps from our home are great hikes to Pender Hill, Daniel Point and Sakinaw Lake and a bit further afield Mt. Daniel and the world famous Skookumchuck Narrows. Nearby, you also have fine and casual dining, biking, swimming in the ocean or five nearby freshwater lakes.

PROPERTY POLICIES & PROCEDURES:
 NO smoking in home; smoking area at back door or at bbq area

Do not sit on granite counter tops in kitchen

 We have a septic system - Do not deposit feminine hygiene products in toilet.
Please do not flush anything down the toilet but TP

 We ask that you do not dump cooking grease down the drain as it clogs the
holding tank and puts more waste into the septic field.

 We have a well system – conserve water when possible, spread out your showers
 Safe to drink.

 Recycling: - Bins located in Carport
 for cans/plastics/glass and paper/cardboard
 for refundable bottles/cans

 Gas Grill: The gas grill is there for your convenience. Please keep it clean and shut
off gas when not in use.

 Indoor Fireplace – not able to use due to the strict Insurance Policy
 Please do not leave any dirty dishes

 Backyard firepit for your use – Firewood - $/bucket (Not able to use during a fire ban)

 We will take care of the used sheets and towels in rooms

 Sauna for your use

 Wood fired Hot tub for your use (no charge for firewood) (Not able to use as a hot tub during a fire ban but can use as a cold tub)

Great getaway in Garden Bay

Great accommodation. Owners were very friendly and responsive to any minor issues we had. Lots of room for the 6 of us. Amazing view from the back patio. Really enjoyed the hot tub. Place is located near several beautiful lakes.

Peaceful place, great craftsmanship, and the views are incredible!!

we had a wonderful family visit at this property. The owners were very generous and efficient and gave us lots of privacy. There was a sauna, a hot tub and a view that was unbelievable. This property is very unique. It is well off the beaten path with easy access to swimming in fresh or salt, water and lots of hiking. We fish and ate out and most of all enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the view. This is not your standard property. There are many beautiful handcrafted details and a collection of artwork that is quite unique. Thank you for having us!

June 2023 rental

Charming and unique log cabin with wonderful view of mountains, lakes, the sound and Vancouver Island. Lack of adjacent houses make it seem like a totally private north woods experience (bear, deer, many Bald Eagles and one elk spotted from the deck), Would have liked a bathroom on the second floor for the two bedrooms that are not the master suite, as the only second floor bath is in the master suite and therefore unsuitable for others to use during sleeping hours. Hosts were pleasant and helpful. Not knowing the hosts lived on the property (separate cabin and not obtrusive), we were a little stressed about how we would check-in for a late evening arrival. Texting clarified the issue and no problem as it turned out.

Beautiful house and property

We do an annual family gathering...Dave and Katy's place was perfect for all the different ages of family memebrs and was close to swimming and hikes. Such a wonderful place with great views.

Wonderful as always

This has always been one of our favourite spots on the Sunshine Coast, and now with the new barrel sauna and wood-fired hot tub it's even better! We had another wonderful stay appreciating the views and enjoying the property and its amenities. Dave and Katy were as always gracious and helpful hosts.

What a view! Beautiful spacious log cabin with all the conveniences you’ll need. A large grass area was perfect for bocce ball and croquet. The hot tub was being replaced but there was a sauna. Owners Katy and Dave were wonderful hosts! thanks you two!!

So awesome!

Amazing from start to finish. Great communication and the perfect mix of the owner being there for us and giving us space. The property is unbelievable and the views are even better than the pics. Hot tub and bbq are a great bonus too! Definitely stay here if you’re heading to the Sunshine Coast!

Amazing Cabin

What a view! (And cozy, too.)

My nuclear and extended family - three generations, eight people in all - stayed here for two nights, using the house as a base for excursions in the region. The house is charismatic and charming, but the real winner is the location and the glorious view from the deck (and most rooms). Reserving and accessing the house was easy, too.

Amazing views and cozy hot-tub!

Not our first time staying at this wonderful cabin and certainly not the last one! We had the most relaxing and fun weekend: celebrating New Years, hiking Mount Daniel, soaking in the hot-tub, walking down the road to Garden Bay Lake, playing board games and cooking up a storm in the great open kitchen. Could not have asked for more and yet, it seems like there was an endless supply of incredible sunrises and sunsets then starry night skies, all enjoyed form the huge deck. We're so grateful to our hosts, Dave and Katy for welcoming us once again at their cabin. Happy New Year! Fanny

Incredible View, Beautiful Artwork, close to lakes and Garden Bay

Dave is a great host, he met us at the property and showed us around his beautiful home. The house is a short drive from lakes and the marinas at Garden Bay. The living room and house is filled with amazing NW artwork. Relaxing in the hot tub, or outdoor porch, and looking at the view is awesome.

Stunning views and a wonderful environment to relax for a few days. The log home is glorious and Dave and Katie are wonderfully helpful hosts. So much to do - loved the kayaking, lakes and hikes.

Beautiful, peaceful Getaway

Dave & Katy are such warm hosts and welcomed us to their beautiful home. This gorgeous log cabin is situated on top of a mountain and has the most spectacular views. It's extremely quiet and serene. The cabin is very spacious has a spectacular patio to enjoy the view. We had 3 kids aged 4 and under and thought it was great for them with lots of outdoor space. There were also lots of beautiful lakes close by to swim in. I would recommend Katherine Lake. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay here!

Gorgeous house and fantastic view

We just booked this for a weekend away, but we're already planning another trip here for a longer stay. This place is amazing, and the hosts are so friendly and accommodating. There's so much to do with all the nearby lakes and trails, but it is also a great place to just sit and relax.

Fabulous vacation spot

Love the cabin, love the location, love how easy check-out is! The pictures really don't do it justice--my favourite is when you first come in and are just blown away by what a beautiful place it is! Hosts are welcoming and work hard to make your stay as comfortable as possible!
