"We stayed at the Eurostars Grand Marina for six nights. We loved the location of the hotel, the room was good (even though slightly outdated), and the staff was overall attentive and professional. However, our otherwise positive experience was completely ruined by the catastrophic noise insulation toward the hallway and particularly toward the neighboring room, something mentioned also in a few other reviews. We arrived late afternoon and could hear the TV from the other room as if it was in our room. And whenever someone passes in the hallway, the door to the hallway seems to work like an amplifier and not like a noise barrier. A main issue in our room (443) was the connecting door to the next room. We asked for a room change next day, but the staff told us the hotel was full. The last night was then truly unbearable - it really felt as if people were in our room and not next door. I have stayed in a good number of USD200-300 per-night hotels in the last 10 years in the US and Europe, but never had such a truly terrible experience. So I would say that if you are not at all noise-sensitive and love to hear every word from people on the hallway and next room, and you also don't care at all about your privacy and love it when other people can hear 100% of everything you say and do, then this hotel is for you. Otherwise, I would stay away. I sent an email to the duty manager but was "informed" that this is a "structural" problem, so nothing they can do."

"This place was conveniently located on La Rambla next to Placa de Catalunya. We were off to a rocky start with the first night our neighbors slammed the doors (very heavy doors) 17 times. I asked to be moved and they immediately gave me 2 options to match or better our room. They also made it right by giving us free breakfast for the inconvenience. Mauricio and the other 2 young men on the night staff were amazing and knowledgable. Thank you to them for making our stay nice. The roof top bar was a nice place to view the sunset and our balcony had nice views. The fridge wasn't cleaned and I found a hair on a "clean" towel. We would go back during the not so busy season."

"The staff is amazing and very helpful. Our rooms are nice and clean. The location was perfect! My only two complaints is that (1) I did not find the bed comfortable 😩 and (2) there is a weird sewer smell coming out of the shower. It is pretty strong, not sure though if that is normal… Overall though, we had a pleasant stay. "
