EXCEPTIONAL VIEW OF LAKE and mountains, 20 minutes Annecy, 300 m from beach

"We had a fantastic stay and would happily return. The property is absolutely stunning, with incredible views across Lake Annecy that we never got tired of. There are plenty of beautiful walks straight from the front door, and Talloires itself is a lovely little town with lots of great places to eat and explore.There was also plenty to do at the property, including the swimming pool, trampoline, basketball court, ping pong table and bowls. The lake is brilliant for swimming too, with a diving board and a dedicated children's area that was perfect for families. A special mention to the cleaner, who was incredibly kind and even helped take our initial food shop up the hill in her car.A couple of things worth knowing before booking: linen and towels come at an additional cost, which felt a little unnecessary given the overall price of the accommodation. The 5pm check-in time is also quite late and takes a significant chunk out of your arrival day. Unfortunately, when our flights were changed to an early morning arrival, we weren't allowed to leave our luggage inside the property before check-in. This meant leaving our bags outside the gates and having someone stay with them for several hours. If we'd been able to leave them securely inside the gates, we could have made much better use of the afternoon.Overall though, these were minor issues in what was otherwise a wonderful stay in a beautiful location. We'd definitely recommend it."

"We had a fantastic stay! The location is perfectly situated in the heart of Talloires - their private beach was a perfect place to spend the day and swim in the lake avoiding the crowds. The rooms were clean, modern and had air conditioning which was critical to have during a heat wave. Access to the pool, steam room and sauna were a great inclusion in our stay along with dining on the patio overlooking the lake. Would definitely recommend to anyone traveling in the area and we hope to return one day!"

"We enjoyed an excellent week in this gite. The location is outstanding; very close to the lake. The proximity of a bakery and supermarket is very convenient. The host was very communicative and welcoming. Parking was a little out of the way but not a problem. We had a superb time and hope to return."

"A magical place for adults and children. The house was perfect with plenty of beds for families and children to pick from. The children loved exploring the garden and trampoline and we loved the many sun terraces to eat on. Waking up to the gentle sound of birdsong and tinkling sheep bells from the nearby field was really special. Easy walk down to the village for bakery, shop and cafe supplies"
