This location is in the worst neighborhood ever!
There was lot's of police activity as well as solicitation. In fact, there was a police car chasing a woman down the street and into the motel parking lot as I was checking into my room! Also, I had requested a smoke free room on Expedia and when I got to the room it was clear I did not get one. The room reeked of smoke and the walls were yellow-even the tub had multiple cigarette burns on the edge. I was there for an event and was already running late so I got dressed quickly, gathered all my belongings (I did not feel safe leaving them behind as the other residents were looking inside my room every time I opened the door) and left. After placing my things into my car I noticed they already reeked of smoke!! I only returned the next day to check out and explained to the front desk the situation/issue. She said she did not see my request for a non-smoking room on her end and said it was Expedia's fault and said to contact them to file a complaint. Expedia tried contacting them by phone multiple times but the Motel never answered their phone so I had to wait a couple of days to get a resolution to my dispute and of course Motel 6 denied it. I spoke with a few local residents of Lancaster and they ALL knew of this Motel and told me it was one of the worst ones in the area and it was notorious for solicitation. It is also where the unhoused population are referred to when given public assistance or emergency housing.
