Picture yourself staying in a house surrounded by NATURE (Wildlife right next to you: sloths, iguanas & much more), a small creek, fruit trees, plus a very comfortable home just waiting for you. We have 2 bedrooms with 2 full bathrooms each one, private hot tub, A/C in both bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen, TV, WIFI, terrace, safety deposit box, bed linen and towels.

This property features a total of 75 square meters with 2 bedrooms with private bathroom each one, A/C, TV, WIFI, fully equipped kitchen, nice terrace overlooking a small creek, jacuzzi, living room, washing machine and private parking.

We have an agreement with Noah's Forest by Tikafara, it is located next to the property and they will be glad to help you during your stay, you can get:

- Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner services in their restaurant with previous reservation (Extra charge).

- 50% Discount in the Frog Tour in Tikafara Boutique Hotel.

La Fortuna is located in the rainforest, we can have rain at any time of the year, most of the time we have nice, sunny mornings and rain in the afternoons which make it very humid, so we always recommend comfortable clothing, water, raincoat and a mosquito repellent.

Nice private spot

This is a nice secluded place to stay especially if you have your own car, it’s only about a five minute drive to all the restaurants and shops. Nice and secluded and the hot tub is a bonus (other than having to wait a couple hours for it to heat up each time you use it). We would definitely stay here again.

Sloths everywhere

Check-in was easy. Had a little problem with cleanliness was taken care of immediately beautiful facilities nicely, landscape, gorgeous grounds. Incredible staff would definitely stay again.

Amazing unique house and property!

Really enjoyed our stay here. House of tours were amazingly helpful with all of our excursions and questions and helped us get settled in nicely. We loved the house and craftsmanship as well! Special place for sure!

Perfect location!

We absolutely loved our stay here! It is the perfect distance from town, it's surrounded by nature, and the jacuzzi is the perfect end to a long day on your feet. Lorenzo was super friendly and patient, and always happy to help.

Perfect spot

The property was a perfect place for our stay. It is just outside the city center, but close enough for convenience. The property manager/owner was helpful and welcoming. Each morning, there were birds feeding while we had our coffee on the patio. My family all had a wonderful time.

Paradise!

Secluded, but close to everything. Much larger than you would think. Hot tub was also amazing. It has everything you need! Lorenzo was awesome!

The property was close to town and restaurants but tucked back away from main road. Great privacy. Host Lorenzo put fresh fruit out close to house to attract beautiful birds each morning. I would highly recommend this vrbo for anyone looking to get a great Costa Rican experience!!

Perfect stay

The property was absolutely beautiful. The hot tub was the perfect end to every day. The birds every day were awesome. The house was just far enough away from town but close enough at the same time. I would highly recommend staying here and when we come back I will definitely book here again! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay! Also thank you for being so flexible with our dates when the airline tried to change our flight!

Perfect La Fortuna Spot in Country

This property was fantastic - it was very close to town, but far enough away to be in country, on a creek and very private. The owner lives on the property and feeds birds so we can watch them every morning. It was so wonderful just to hang out in hot tub, listen to the creek or the rain on the metal roof. Beautifully clean, great AC and ventilation, and the property management company and the owner were friendly, responsive, and a dream to work with. Highly recommended for a couple, 2 couples, or a family of 4. Enough space and privacy for all. Will stay again if we come to la fortuna

Small but clean

The property is smaller than depicted on their site. It is very clean, has everything you need and also an outdoor spa. Air conditioning is quite loud in one room.

Nice distance from La fortuna

As many have commented Lorenzo is an excellent host showing us his sloths and the people at the Home stay office made the check-in process seamless as well as organizing tours. The property is lovely but the accommodation, as advertised is small and though we (2 couples) enjoyed our stay it isn't a place to just hang out for a leisurely R&R. Used as a place to lay your head on a double bed with only one pillow per person while you do other things it was fine.

Delightful

Our stay at Lorenzo's was just delightful. We loved La Fortuna. It was our first trip to Costa Rica so I had many questions before booking, Lorenzo answered promptly and thoroughly and everything was just as advertised! The rental office was very informative on check-in and reserving our tours with them was easy as well. Mary's BBQ, walking distance from the house, was delicious and the staff was so friendly, they even set one of their tv's to an NFL playoff game we wanted to watch, we highly recommend!!! The birds in the morning were special to see and the sloth sighting very exciting! Thank you for our welcome pineapple (best we have every had!!) and for making our stay so comfortable!

Jungle Love!!!

This place was super cute and perfect for our family! The kids enjoyed the whirlpool. The sounds of the jungle at night were amazing! The location was perfect somewhat away from all the traffic. We washed our clothes in the washer outside. Took us a while but we figured it out! There is no dryer and you have to hang dry your clothes! It was a great experience staying in a shipping container! We would recommend this place to our friends and family! Pura Vita! God bless!

Absolute Paradise

The property is so beautiful and out of the way even though it is only minutes from the heart of everything. The owner is incredible, every morning he brings fresh fruit and sets it on makeshift branches in the back yard. We brought our coffee out every morning and watched hundreds of birds feast on the fruit! So many different species! Incredible! He also showed us a sloth! We had the best time! The rental Itself has everything you need to make a good meal, take a hot shower and sleep after a long day of hiking. It is small, but my husband, grown son, and I found it very functional. The management teams is also amazing. Highly recommend and would love to go back and stay there again!

A great place.

Check in was easy even though we were early. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. The house, a converted shipping container was well done. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a living area. The outdoor jacuzzi was great. Lorenzo set bananas out every morning morning and the variety of birds that showed up was amazing. We could watch from the living area or even closer on the patio. The highlight was Lorenzo pointing out a sloth ( with a brand new baby) in a tree 100 m from our house. Then another sloth the next day we could see from our driveway. It is a mile or so out of town, so it was an easy drive to town, but not convenient for walking. Overall, I highly recommend it.

Very Comfortable

We thoroughly enjoyed our three days here. Lorenzo, the owner, put bananas on the tree outside the backyard every morning so we could watch the birds, lizards, and iguanas. The unit is a repurposed container with a living room addition. Bedrooms have air conditioning for comfortable sleeping. The covered hot tub complete with water fall takes about 30 minutes to heat up, but is also quite refreshing without the heat on warm days.. The location is about a mile our of town making it private, but potentially hazardous walking. We had a car and chose to drive. Pay attention to one way streets! We made reservations for our activities through the management company and were very pleased. I highly recommend the waterfall repelling for families with older kids. We did it with Maquique Canyoning and rappelling.
