Truly Idyllic

We loved our stay at the Idyllic and would highly recommend it. Excellent breakfast, lovely room and great views from the beachside pool and the beach itself. However, the absolute highlight was dinner on the beach at night in the hotel's restaurant...beautiful ambiance and some of the best food we have had in Thailand!

Very nice hotel, staff were also really nice and friendly. Room was fairly basic but clean and tidy, floor seemed a little grubby though. Overall very nice, however I feel a bit over priced for what it is

The island of Koh lipe is very small but has a lot of accommodations to choose from. We liked the Idyllic because it was on a very nice beach, two wonderful pools, bar access from one of the pools, good food options, excellent breakfast buffet, friendly staff, and nice clean rooms.

We spent hours looking for a hotel in Koh Lipe. We didn’t go wrong with our choice. During our time, we saw many other hotels on the island and this was by far the best. Don’t hesitate to book if you’re looking for great amenities, friendly staff, and a prime location.

We had an excellent holiday at Idyllic big thanks to Ken that with his hospitality made our stay perfect. Highly recommend also the restaurant, we had lunch and dinner everyday and the food was amazing with large portions, breakfast always with different menu ( never get bored ).All the staff were friendly and very attentive with the smile on the face, this resort is excellent managed, We will back here for sure !

Loving Koh Lipe

Second time staying in the jacuzzi suite. Spacious, clean and bright. the only problems is the water pressure, to fill up the jacuzzi takes hours and lack of hot water.

From the moment we stepped off the boat - we were greeted by a kind staff member who brought us in the «Idyllic» car straight to the hotel. From that moment - until the moment we left - we were stress-free, well taken care of and enjoying every minute at Idyllic Concept

The jacuzzi suite is by far the best . Stayed 2 times and the the 3rd time I managed to book a newly renovated room just above the reception on the 3rd floor. Room was nice but the stairs….to breakfast and back was torturing. Too many steps . Always book the chalet on the beach.

Good location on nice beach Rooms were smaller than I expected Wifi was useless . Smart tv even on normal channels dropped out . Netflix just kept stalling so didn’t turn on in frustration.

We had a wundervoll time at the resort. It’s located with a beautiful beach to snorkel. Some great restaurants are nearby and the hotel has a great one as well. You have to walk some steps to get to the restaurant for breakfast and to the beach depending on which room you stay, this helps burning some calories after the great meals. We loved the beautiful island. Only thing that could be better is all these taxi boats with their old very loud motors which disturb the peace at the beach. I hope they soon have money to buy better more silent motors. Then this would be the perfect spot to enjoy and calm down. Thank you for this amazing time we had!

Not bad. Didn't get a room with a pool view as we booked. Just a room next to a path. Beach is lovely. Can swim and snorkel from the beach too. Not too many boats. Air con didn't work in our room but was fixed quickly. Staff very service minded and friendly. You can walk into town. Takes 10 mins. Don't need the shuttle. Breakfast was really nice. Lots of lovely places to eat and have a drink on the beach. (about 1.5 km long)

We just spent a week at Idyllic and had a wonderful time. The gardens are wonderfully landscaped with 2 pools to choose from. We had a room on the second floor looking towards reception. The one drawback is that none of the rooms have privacy/sheer curtains, so you are stuck either having blockout curtains drawn all day or having everyone looking in on you. The bed was on the hard side for us, pillows also firm and high. The hotel is right at one end of sunrise beach which means you don’t have all the long tail boats parked right in front of you, although it’s a coral beach so it can be rough on your feet. The snorkelling off the house reef is one of the best ones we’ve seen. Breakfast buffet was decent. The selection is not huge, but a lot of the hot items are changed daily. There is a lovely chicken noodle bar and also roti station. The wifi was pretty patchy and slow throughout the property. Staff are polite and courteous, we had an issue with very noisy neighbours and asked to change rooms the next morning which was done promptly with no questions. There is a bit of reno going on throughout, so lounging by the beach will be quite noisey, it looks like they should be done by Xmas. There is only 1 shuttle a day at 6pm to walking street, but it’s literally 5 minutes on foot to reach the top of the section.

I had high hopes for this hotel, but unfortunately it didn’t live up to expectations, especially considering its price point. The rooms were decent, and the beach was lovely, but that’s about where the positive aspects end. The breakfast buffet was incredibly underwhelming, lacking basic items such as cheeses and nuts, which are standard in many lower-tier hotels. Upon checkout, there was an unexpected commotion in the lobby, which turned out to be related to a missing pair of disposable slippers. While those slippers cost no more than 50 cents, they were being treated as they were a significant issue. Those slippers, which cost maybe 40 cents, were something I had used and taken, assuming they were a standard disposable item. When I returned them, I was told that they reuse them!! Reusing slippers that have been worn by other guests, potentially harboring bacteria and fungus, is not only unhygienic but completely unacceptable, especially for a 4-star hotel. These slippers can't be washed because they'll be ruined. I work in hotel amenities supply and i know that for a fact. Yuck!!! For a four-star hotel charging $300 a night, it is deeply troubling that such a commotion would arise over a a 40 cent disposable item, especially given the potential health risks involved. This lack of basic hygiene is inexcusable.Given these issues, I can’t help but feel deeply disappointed, and I honestly cannot recommend it. I’m rating it 1 star, as I truly feel let down.
