We enjoyed our cabin very much. Loved seeing the deer and turkey's on the property. Close to Mt. Rushmore and Custer Park. Keystone is a cute town to walk.
We loved our cabin and the property! Everything was fantastic, very clean and we were able to check in a little early as well. Would definitely stay again!
My family and I enjoyed our stay at American Pines!! The cabin is cute. The management is amazing and the location is fabulous. Near so many attractions!!
very nice two bedroom one bath, location was great, nice front and back yard. I would recommend this property to anyone who is visiting the area. We had a great stay while there.
The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. The location was beautiful and there is a basketball hoop and playground that were nice for the kids. The property owners were very helpful and the check in and check out process was very smooth. Would definitely stay here again!
We had an amazing stay! Cabin was cozy, clean, and perfect for our family of 6. Queen bed in each bedroom and pull out couch bed. The playground and basketball court was a hit with our 4 kids! Hosts were friendly, responsive, and helpful! Highly recommend and would stay here again!
The place was as advertised and a great location for all things in the greater Mt Rushmore area. Access code did not work when we arrived - but we were able to get in - in just a few minutes.
My wife and I loved the cabin. Becki made sure that we had anything we needed and always checked in on us. I have shared our stay with family and friends. Highly recommend American Pines for anyone vacationing in Keystone South Dakota
The family that manages this property is wonderful to work with, both online and in person. Our cabin was exactly what we expected, it was clean, comfortable, and the location was ideal for vacation sight seeing. I highly recommend renting from American Pines.
Additional note: We took advantage of their ATV rentals. The process to rent/return was easy, the equipment was clean and in great shape, and the owners shared their knowledge of trails and technology to maximize our experience!
It was so great to stay at American Pines. I did the Crazy Horse Half marathon. My family and I stayed here and we had fun. This place is so easy to get to and it was clean. The other cabin folks were respectful of others. Lots of land to walk on and my dog loved it. It was centrally located to Custer, Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, all of it. Thanks for making my marathon my best run ever!!!
These are truly mini cabins.
fine for 2 people, short stay. Three drawers in the cabin, all with kitchen stuff. no dishwasher.
bedrooms are small. If more than 2 people, best to keep all but tomorrows clothes in your vehicle.
pretty dim mostly overhead lighting.
no dishwasher, galley kitchen. the bathroom is off the kitchen, access is tight if someone is in the kitchen.
4 adults? They best be very good friends and have lots of good outside weather..
The cabin is fantastic - very spacious and well located. It's very quiet, and I loved the playground and basketball court for the kids! Keystone town has everything you need. However, the supermarket is a bit farther, but it's not a big deal. The wi-fi is not great, but even without wi-fi, your phone will not work well at all. It must be the mountains; the signal is terrible. The only "complaint" is the bed comforters - they were smelling a little. I understand how hard it is to wash those covers, but it must be done. Everything else was perfect.
