It’s a great location to stay if your touring Death Valley and need an overnight location coming from Panamint Springs and staying overnight them dropping in the north end by Big Pine to go see Eureka Dunes.

We were familiar with Lone Pine and really like the main street vibe and the restaurants and shops, along with the snow covered mountains nearby. The French Restaurant - the Still Cafe was a really pleasant surprise and food was excellent. I would recommend even if you are just traveling through the area.
