"Very friendly and helpful staff. The property is slightly dated compared to the official photos. Room condition was good. There is much raving about the hair dryer but overall amenities are a bit short compared to other hotels in similar range. I do love the in-room washing machine which is 5-star by itself. Great location. Easy to get around. "

"Perfect location; walking distance to Hakata Station, Nakasu-Kawabata Arcade, Canal City and Tenjin. Many restaurants and convenient stores nearby. And a 24-hour grocery stores a few blocks away. Room was clean and comfortable; housekeeping optional but excellent! Wi-Fi works great, mini frig in room and nice bathroom equipped w/ shower and separate tub. Coin-operated laundry facilities and vending machines and micro available. Front desk staff nice: easy check in and check out. A/C worked great too! Ate breakfast once during stay; was okay! Staff more attentive to Japanese guests though. Many other options nearby. Will definitely return but may opt for next room size (sold out this time).Prices were reasonable, considering it was Golden Week! Only drawback (but minor); many guests were non-Japanese so English-proficient staff necessary at front desk and especially when answering the phone! Would definitely recommend Daiwa Roynet Hakata Reisen. There are two other branches on the same street! Doumo Arigato Gozaimasu! Jim from Hawaii"

"Hotel, room, staff, and breakfast were all excellent! Wonderful location as well. Club on 18th floor was a bit disappointing. Alcohol and snacks for a fee. Club space was not great. Only visited for a few minutes and never returned."

"Breakfast not offered in hotel but in restaurant 2 floors below the Lobby. Quality of food on offer 3 stars or below. We paid over $330 per night for a small room, old furniture, old carpets and mattresses on beds almost as hard as lying on bricks. This hotel in NO WAY deserves a 9.4 rating. We were very disappointed with the quality of this hotel. The only exceptional feature of this hotel was the staff. My advice is AVOID this hotel. "
