This comfortable, inviting house had everything we needed for a relaxing stay at the lake. Our family spent as much time as possible on the enclosed porch, deck and beach to enjoy clear summer days, beautiful sunsets and pretty cool storms over the lake. We look forward to visiting again.

Very cute house in a great location. The property manager was great and house had everything you could need. My only critique would be that the mattresses are rough. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Our group of six had a wonderful time in this home. The kitchen had everything we needed to enjoy cooking meals together. The beds were very comfy too. Would recommend to anyone wanting a Lake Erie experience.

This was my fourth stay at An Old Lake House, and it was as wonderful as ever. The house is so comfortable and well equipped, and the owner is super responsive when unexpected problems arise. The lake provides a fine backdrop for both play, rest, or reflection — whatever you choose. Already looking forward to my next visit.

If you're looking for a Lake Erie getaway in an established beach community, this location can't be beat! A charming, historic house with a ton of amenities and amazing access to a private beach. Patty was very communicative and easy to work with. We will be returning.

We had such a nice time at this Lake House! The property was very clean and comfortable. Clear instructions from the owner/manager, and the location cannot be beat. We were also blessed with summer weather in April, which was a bonus. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

My husband and I stayed here for a two day getaway. It was so clean and had everything you would need. The house has lots of room and the views can’t be beat. There are plenty of sleeping options if you were to bring a larger group. The house is 100 years young and has so much character and the decorating makes it even more magical. The beach and benches in the community park are wonderful. I would highly recommend. Great house and wonderful location.

We had a lovely week staying at An Old Lake House! The location was close enough to enjoy Cedar Point and other local day trips, but also far enough away to enjoy a peaceful lake experience. We loved hearing the waves crash and feeling the lake breezes on the sun porch. The kids swam in Lake Erie just down the hill from the house. We recommend the Marblehead lighthouse tour and taking a ferry to one of the Lake Erie Islands. The lake house had everything that we needed to prepare for our day adventures and was a lovely retreat for our vacation.

This comfy cottage/family house was charming and efficient and we had the best time. All I needed to pack was a bathing suits and toothbrush because everything else was provided. The decor is so much fun and the owners think of everything for your enjoyment. I was lucky enough to meet Patty, the owner who is delightful !!!This is a great house for family and a retreat on the water that is very special. I’ve already booked next year. Thanks, Patty.

This was a beautiful place for our family to meet for a small reunion (5 adults over 50). Exceptionally clean throughout the home. We enjoyed playing cards in the sunroom, making meals in the fully equipped kitchen, and enjoying the nightly sunsets. The quaint charm of older homes does has its limitations…the modern conveniences are not always readily accessible (1 shower on the first floor, and navigating stairs and rooms for bathroom access on the 2nd floor). Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

This home made us feel as though time had stopped many, many years ago; but also has many modern amenities. Patty was always available to help or responded quickly to our needs; she provided a lot of information whenever we had any questions. The home was clean and bug-free which is amazing being on the lakefront. The area has a family atmosphere, and the house is perched on a sloping, grassy hill that reaches down to a sandy beach. There's also steps to walk down to a deck, then onto the beach. We used the comfy, screened-in porch a lot! It was peaceful during the week, and the waves lulled us to sleep at night.

An Old Lake House was so sweet and charming and had everything we needed for our stay - including games, toys and coloring books for our grandchildren. The property is gorgeous and even though it was cold, it was easy to spend a lot of time outdoors by the lake. The beds were comfy and warm, and we enjoyed the evenings around the fireplace which was so easy to use! Patty, our host was so sweet and very easy to work with during our rental process. Her attention to the homes details and amenities made it evident that she wanted us to enjoy the home as much as she did! Patty was one of the nicest VRBO rental owners that I have worked with and all I can say is that we can't wait to come back! Thank you for our wonderful weekend getaway! ~~~Paula S.

House is right on Lake Erie in a neighborhood. Older home as described but stairs and floors are uneven. I fell and broke bone in my left foot on stairs going to outdoor patio!. Place could be cleaner and cleaning fee way too high, especially for one person. Suggest they do a scaled cleaning fee based upon number of renters. Was cold and could not turn up heat thermostat as it had a lock, which was a first time ever experience after years of renting through Vrbo.
