"Great location, room was small but OK for 2 nights Great having air conditioning in the room Loads of parking Room very clean Tea and coffee machine worked great, went to the Norris Family Grocers (about 80yrs) for milk after the first night The pub was closed Monday and Tuesday so no breakfast available, there is a café opposite the hotel, but we went to Norris Family Grocers for Croissants Went to their sister The Chequers for an evening meal which was excellent Very quite even with a room onto the road and facing the Café (could do with some net curtains on the window?) Will be booking again for our next short break"

"The property was just as described and more, the photos didn’t do it justice. The property was spotless and had everything we needed for a truly comfortable stay. From the sunset over the needles in the evening to the comfy beds and fluffy towels and the cheeky surprise in the fridge we couldn’t recommend this place enough. Rachel the host was really helpful and friendly and very quick to respond. A***"

"Lovely old fashioned traditional hotel where guests are always right ! I was very impressed when I booked an evening meal . I had warned them I have numerous food intolerances . I hoped they would have something I could eat so was blown away when I was given a menu especially made for ME !! Ventnor is quiet and quaint . Only thing I struggled with was the room was very very warm so sleeping was tricky and it was very small for two ."

"This is an amazingly attractive place to stay. The back of the Garden Lodge has its own terraced garden area with a stream and garden views that beat the Ventnor Botanical Gardens nearby. The route to the Garden Lodge is through a beautiful, flourishing walled Victorian garden. It is very peaceful and relaxing."

Shower was excellent Food was of very high quality and lots of it Recommend the Steak & Ale pie with Garlic Mash & Fish n Chips The local ale was lovely...and local gins and isle of wight whisky went down well. "We had a wonderful week which coincided with lots of warm weather so as a family we enjoyed breakfast in the beautiful kitchen garden, before exploring the Coastal Path to Blackgang Chine, local beaches, Ventnor Botanical Gardens, as well as driving further afield to other sights. It’s a gorgeous cottage where we immediately felt at home - well equipped kitchen, comfy beds - and did I mention the garden? It’s also very close to a great pub, shop and other amenities, and we’d wholeheartedly recommend it!"
