Lovely old pub with accomodation upstairs. Room was a little dated but had everything we needed. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had dinner and breakfast - the food was excellent.

We were in the twin room, which has the longest bath that I’ve had the pleasure of reclining in for a long time! The rest of the room was also faultless and the dinner / breakfast were both excellent. It looked like they were a member of staff down in the bar and it was a bust summer’s evening but they coped ok and the food service was very efficient. We will happily stay there again.

We could not have found a nicer place for a short break, the staff were very friendly, very efficient, food wonderful and room and the property in general absolutely great! A beautiful, cozy hotel that feels like a hidden gem. It’s perfectly located just a short stroll from the heart of Hathersage village, making it an ideal base for exploring the area. There are plenty of attractions nearby, so you’ll never run out of things to see and do. The hotel itself has a warm, inviting restaurant and genuinely friendly staff who make you feel right at home. The room was spacious, clean, and well-kept, offering a comfortable place to unwind after a day of adventure.
