"Great stay"

"Breakfast was included which was a plus and was actually delicious. The hotel was nice and felt very boho vibes which was nice and the reason to stay at a place like this. Customer service was not so great beginning from the front desk to the restaurant and beach club staff. All workers did the bare minimum and not so friendly even after giving them a good tip. Any time I asked for anything additional like napkins, utensils, a refill, etc they acted bothered because I was asking them to do something extra other than delivering my food to my table. Not the hospitality I am used to when visiting beautiful Quintana Roo. Not sure I would stay here again. Bad customer service can really ruin the experience even when staying at a nice place."

"Pretty and clean property. The hotel is on a quiet stretch of beach, about a 15-20 minute walk into town. The rooms are large and clean, but not very soundproof. Bring a sound machine! The staff was friendly and helpful, the breakfast was tasty, the pools were clean, and the sunsets stunning! "

"This property is really beautiful and in a great location - west end of the island that didn’t have much around in previous years. It is a bit of a walk to get into town, but there are several places close by and taxis are pretty readily available. I will say that it gets dark at night around this part of the island, so be prepared to use that phone flashlight if you plan on walking! Very safe, as is the whole island really. Great food and service. I had a huge issue with my credit and debit cards while I was on the island and ran out of cash to pay for my transfer service back to the airport. It was super stressful and though they eventually wound up allowing me to pay with my card, I used up almost a whole day trying to get cash. I cannot stress enough - bring more cash than you think you need! I felt horrible I couldn’t pay or tip in cash for the last couple days I was there, but the hotel and the driver were pretty understanding. Overall great stay! "

"The AWA hotel is absolutely stunning! The views from the room and the restaurant are breathtaking. The atmosphere is incredible, and my family and I spent six wonderful nights there. We can’t wait to return. Holbox is truly a dreamy island. "
