"We had a great trip in Lewes, and this place was in an excellent location. We visited with kids and at least two playgrounds were in walking distance as well as the pells pool. Shops, restaurants are mostly within 10 minutes or less walk, as was the castle. The town is gorgeous and the property is very comfortable with a nice lay out. There was scaffolding outside of the kids room, so made sure to keep the window to the room by the kids locked. Otherwise everything about this place was perfect! It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed."

"My family and I had a lovely experience overall. Very clean, cozy, lots of amenities and some food as well, which is very kind of the owners. The postcode is not that accurate. This is no fault of the owner as rural areas are often hard to locate fully. You need to put in the name of the property on Google maps for a more precise direction. Lastly we felt uncomfortable with the rules stating guests should not go to the front of the property at certain hours during the afternoon due to the owner(s) work. I just felt, if the property is made available for a family holiday, a young child playing in the afternoon shouldn't be a problem as we paid for our stay, and not staying for free. We didn't make a fuss about this, but it is worth noting, as it is a bit awkward ."

"Lewes Heights is a large house on the outskirts of Lewes, but a short drive from the centre. It is very well appointed and equipped and has six bedrooms and can sleep up to ten persons. Everything about it works well to provide comfort and ease of living. There are some excellent views out to the downs and the garden is attractive and a comfortable place in which to spend time. We had a very pleasant two nights there and enjoyed it thoroughly. It is not cheap, but provides excellent value for money. The owner was very helpful and rapidly responsive. Strongly recommended"

"There was a golden wedding lunch party on the Saturday I stayed and one couple brought their dog which constantly yapped all afternoon when they left it outside in the garden. It did not make for a very relaxing afternoon reading on the terrace."
