The bike trail, river access, historic sites and the charming town of St. Johnsonville were all very appealing. We enjoyed walking to a delicious breakfast at the Bridge Street Diner. "This bed and breakfast excelled beyond all expectations! The property is exceptionally beautiful with many historic features scarcely seen except in museums of great old houses. Our host couldn't have been more wonderful and he helped us out after a long ride on the Erie Canal Trail. The amenities were excellent. I would go to Fort Plain just to stay there again. "The property was pretty and private, with a beautiful view. Very quiet town. The cabin was clean, updated, and nicely decorated. Our kids loved sleeping in the loft! The owner was very friendly and checked in with us when we arrived. There was a storm the night before we were to check out and they had the driveway plowed quickly. They were also nice enough to offer a later check out time to make sure we could leave safely. Close to Oak Mountain for skiing!Definitely recommend!"
