"Comfortable room, very clean with amenities to cook or heat food. Eating options in July are limited because restaurants/ cafes apart from the Hermitage hotel are closed. Best to check this before booking in winter months. We enjoyed the experience of staying in the village at base of Mt Cook."

"Apart from the location overlooking Lake Tekapo, the hotel is overly priced for what it offers. The room looked shabby outdated and had an overbearing smell. Visited peak winter and there was just a small heatpump. Toilet flush did not work properly overall vibe was uncomfortable and unclean."
