"No ocean view"

"This may not be the most elegant hotel on the island, but in my opinion it is the best. The food at the Gingerbread Cafe rivals any top class restaurant and the mini-mart, albeit small, has anything that you may want. If they don't they will get if for you. Also, you can fill out a grocery list and they will stock your room with those items so that they are there when you arrive. All rooms have two bedrooms and bathrooms. Two large couches in the living area, one being a sleeper. A small kitchen but with anything that you would need if you decided to cook. Dining table with 4 chairs. There is a TV in both bedrooms and the living room. Each unit has a very large porch overlooking the beach and the ocean. Great housekeeping service everyday. The staff are exceptional. It is a couple of minutes walk on a pathway by the beach to the hotel next door if you choose to eat at the restaurants there, but with the Gingerbread Cafe available, there really is not a need. I do have to admit that if you are a pool person, theirs is very small, but it isn't really needed with the ocean right there. The price is great and you should really try out this hidden gem."

"We had an oceanview room. Property was clean and breakfast was good. The one down fall is they rent chairs to people on cruises and beach is overcrowded and not relaxing. They reserve the front row for guests but not always inforced. Also everything shuts down at 8pm nothing to do at night"

"This hotel is terrible. The staff is rude and don't communicate with each other at all. One person says one thing and the other says another. My checkout was 11:00 and as I was sitting down waiting on my taxi they were banging on my door at 10:30 asking when I was leaving. I would not stay here again! Try the hotel next door I believe it's called "Holland" hotel? Do not book here! "

"Room was clean, not great reception on the TV, but you should not spend that much time in the room. Overall I could not be happier with my week-long stay! Be warned though, there will most likely be a long line to check in, the process is a bit slow."

"The host was answering my questions very quickly. Very efficent.The condo is awesome. Right on a beautiful beach, close to the grocery store, close to the boardwalk. Also very clean."

"Paradise. Such a beautiful, private location. You open the curtains electronically in the morning to the most amazing view as cruise ships head into Philipsburg, followed later by sailboats and yachts. We loved having a private patio deck with hammock and a pool that we usually had to ourselves. It is very modern with see through windows that are tinted on the other side to protect your privacy. It's a funky place, you will never forget and we can't wait to go back. There is only one restaurant in walking distance and it is also a hidden gem waiting to be discovered."

"Room quality not reflected in the pictures. Poorly outfitted kitchenette. Nice view of the water but located in a back alley. We were left standing on a street corner for quite some time wondering if anyone was coming to check us in after our airport shuttle did not materialize. Basics such as soap was minimal. Would not go back. "
