Historic Ranch House, A/C, on forest acres, in town

Experience true Flagstaff history at the Historic Rock Ranch! This 2-acre fenced-in forested oasis is hidden in the heart of town, offering privacy while being close to everything. The spacious one-bedroom, one-bathroom rustic bunkhouse has been transformed into a chic, air-conditioned retreat. Sleeps up to four in beds, with extra guests welcome for a small fee. Enjoy modern amenities in a beautifully updated historic home that blends vintage charm with contemporary comfort!



The home is nestled off of fourth street near old downtown flagstaff. The property is unique in the sense that it is a full 2-acre, private property for lots of space. You get to experience a wooded environment without having to leave city limits. The home is a single level with two (2) stairs before the front entrance of the home. After that, the home is all single level. Although the home is only one bedroom, its very spacious and roomy. The master bedroom pathway has a wide double door for easy access if you have a wheelchair. Lots of windows throughout for lots of natural lighting.



*For all stays 10 nights or longer, the cleaning fee will be double the regular amount for a deep clean after guest departure.



*There is an additional fee for having pets. Please make sure your pets are included in the reservation and the fee will automatically be applied to your stay.



Please note: The Foxtail plant is native to this area. This plant can be dangerous (but not poisonous) to animals when inhaled or consumed due to the sharp, barbed seeds. We kindly suggest inspecting your pet`s skin, fur, mouth and nose after each outing.



*Late departure fine is $35 per every 15 minutes.



*If there is an amenity that is out- of -order that is advertised in the Home’s listing, that is not available to you due to unforeseen circumstances. A 10% reimbursement of the base rate will be offered as compensation

Property is super cute. Lots of land and a gate to close. The rooms are not separate but could be great for a couple or a small family. I’d even suggest a girls trip.

An amazing get away

It was a lovely home on a beautiful property! One of our favorite parts was the wood burning fireplace’s, there’s nothing like relaxing watching the fire at the end of an eventful day!

Lovely cabin getaway

The house was beautiful! It had everything that we needed and more. I honestly wish I could have stayed longer and will definitely try to rent it again if we return. The hosts replied quickly with any concerns and were very accommodating! There were even suggests of places to visit or eat. The tub was luxurious

Beautiful Historic Ranch house

Amazing getaway! Didn’t really have to leave the house. Everything was furnished except for food ! Our dogs love the spacious property. The only reason we give it 4 stars on cleanliness is because the property could use some good yard work and a little cleaning inside but nothing major. We’ll definitely be back for another stay!

A retreat in the city

This home and property are really great - a true unique experience rather than the standard stuff. Its like being in a large midcentury cabin in the middle of your own park. A few very minor issues but 10/10 I would stay here again.

Still love this place

My husband and I stayed at the Historic Ranch House in April 2024 and couldn't wait for a reason to go back. We got that opportunity in October 2024 and booked the house as soon as we knew our travel dates. The house is sooo comfortable, has everything a person could need and is in a great, safe location. We will definitely stay here again as soon as we get another opportunity to do so.

Interesting/comfy home

We loved the lay out of the home. There is plenty of property to have your fogs or kids run. It is surrounded by other homes but we thought it was very comfortable. There is no dishwasher but we dont mind washing ourselves. There also is no bathroom in the master.we loved the amount of time it took to.the ski mountain and resteraunts. Would stay again.

Excellent Stay

This home is a hidden gem in the middle of Flagstaff. It has a page surrounding fenced area. Perfect for pets if you brought them with you. Home is a spacious one bedroom. It made our trip comfortable and much more enjoyable then staying in a hotel. Mason is super responsive and helpful. Highly recommend.

Property review December 2024

This is a unique property. It is 2 acres in the middle of town near shopping and restaurants. Being on 2 acres it is extremely quiet. The outdoor space is excellent for dogs. Had internet down when we arrived but host fixed immediately. Living and bedroom are extremely spacious. Everything was clean and the kitchen well stocked. Would definitely stay here again.

Short Stay in Flagstaff

This historic ranch house was a fun place to stay. It is in the middle of a neighborhood that has grown around it, but the yard is fenced and very private. The house is clean and well-appointed. The location is really good as it is within walking distance to Bushmaster Park that has a dog park. The Buffalo Park is about 5 minutes away. It is easy to get to downtown plus there are some good places nearby (Satchmo’s)!

Just Delighted

When we walked in we were nicely surprised and this spacious cozy home. Two wood burning fireplaces, large comfy sectional and huge dining table. Large fenced in yard where a deer was laying under a tree. Quiet! Close to everything! Host was exceptionally responsive to a couple of glitches but solved them immediately! Would stay again!!!
