Gorgeous property! Exceptional staff throughout! Views were amazing! Quick walk to beach down the steps. Great pool area with hot tub , sauna and ice plunge as well! All overlooking the ocean! Beautiful rooms, decor and amazing large balconies with fire pit, couch and more fab views! 5 star resort in all ways possible !

I have stayed all over Southern California and this location and vibe can’t be beat! Very few kids stay here it is more for adults but my 18 year old daughter and I had the perfect time. The staff is great and very accommodating. For sure take a chance on this one . Tucked between Carlsbad and Encinitas.

We enjoyed an amazing long weekend. This hotel was perfect. Fire table room. Great pool, hot tub. The pool restaurant in perfect. Nice workout center and amenities. Hotel restaurant is amazing. Over 3 days one dinner was very slow but food outstanding and their service team cares to make your experience amazing. Right from arrival to our departure the staff/team care and want your stay to be fabulous. Thank you for giving us that amazing memorable time together.

Beautifully decorated room and patio. It was simply top-notched for creature comfort - fully-established mini-bar and treats. The shower was incredible - hardware is modern. Robes and slippers were provided. The fire pit is a nice touch to the bottom floor rooms.

Rooms were so thin you can hear everything. EVERYTHING. Might want to think about bringing kids because they will ask questions about what the noise coming from next door is. Other than that, staff is great. Vaga’s food was great.

One of a kind experience! Everything was top notch. The experience was relaxing and fun. Enjoyed free surf boards, E-Bikes to explore Encinitas and Yoga overlooking the ocean. We booked for 3 nights. Needed to stay an extra night. Staff u helpful and I accommodating. Said we had to look online to see if there was any availability. Not cool. And definitely not what a good hotel should do. They had our card number. They could have extended the stay accordingly and not make us go through that. We ultimately did. Would not recommend staying here. A lot of posturing about this hotel. But it's all smoke and mirrors. Stay somewhere else.

Perfect place to celebrate a birthday!

Absolutely amazing. Loved the view from the coastal view room and the food at Vaga was spectacular. They are very accommodating to gluten free guests. The pool staff were very attentive and the day in the cabana was perfect.
