Top Eastern Sierra InterAgency Visitor Center Hotel Reviews
Historic Dow Hotel
8/10 Good
"It was a small basic room with no refrigerator or ability to make coffee in the morning in the room"
***Mt Whitney View Home!
10/10 Excellent
"Easy access to the rental and was exactly as described. House also has mini-split air conditioning systems so even in summer heat it is very comfortable. Cute and spacious for the three of us that rented it for two nights."
Trails Motel
8/10 Good
"Just stopped on our way through town late at night. After hours check in was easy. Everything was clean and room had the essentials. I only gave it a four star because we could not figure out how to keep the air on for the entire night and had to continuously adjust."
Lone Pine Budget Inn

"Everyone was really friendly and I LOVED that they have an ice machine! My favorite taco truck is around the corner… what more could I ever want? I have a lot of friends who hike Mount Whitney this time of year… if you want some exposure, let me know. 😉"

"Just what we needed for a home base in the town of Lone Pine. We walked to our favorite restaurants in just a couple minutes."
Nestled in nature with views of the Alabama Hills, Sierras and Inyo Mountains
10/10 Excellent
"We stayed at Reo's Ranch in Lone Pine for our Mt. Whitney hike (Aug 6–9) with a group of 8, and it was hands-down one of the best stays we've had. The house is spotless, spacious, and comfortable — plenty of room for our whole group without feeling cramped. The living room gave us a great space to relax and regroup after the hike, and kitchen utensils made cooking for the group a breeze. Beds had clean, fresh sheets and towels waiting for us, and the AC kept the place cool and comfortable even after long, hot days on the trail. Location-wise, it's incredibly convenient — easy access to both Whitney Portal and Lone Pine town. The front yard is spacious enough to park several cars, which was a huge plus for a group our size. And of course, the views are unbelievable — you couldn't ask for a better backdrop before or after a big hike. On top of all that, the owners were wonderful — great communicators and genuinely caring hosts who made the whole stay easy and stress-free. Highly recommend for anyone tackling Mt. Whitney or just visiting Lone Pine!"

"Great location. We used it as a base camp to summit Whitney, and it was a great size for two people. My only comment is that the wifi information we were given on check in didn't work. It listed a network that didn't exist, so we couldn't log in to it."

"Sublime! We rarely go to the same place twice, but this rental will be an exception because of how exceptional the experience was. Thank you!"
