"Lovely stay and clean and comfortable room. Shower was great! Spa is so nice and modern, best bit is the outdoor heated pool with views over the Clyde. Dinner was lovely in the Vista restaurant and the whisky bar was nice and sophisticated. Breakfast was the only criticism as they had run out of a lot of continental options when we arrived around 9:30am and the hot food was okay. Overall we had a great stay and would return again."

"The host was attentive, but the place was under renovation, and he didn’t tell us ahead of time. There were holes in the walls, the shelves were dirty and the whole air was dingy. We had to ask for a kettle and pots and pans. There was no sponge or fairy liquid or sponge to clean the plates. The cooker didn’t work; we had to wait until the night (11 pm) for it to work. It was not as advertised."

"Kitchen staff very surly the evening we arrived about having to cook dinner for us. They tried to refuse service, even though their stated opening hours were for more than an hour after we arrived, and they kept giving us dirty looks through the open kitchen hatch. Front of house was excellent. The issue was the kitchen staff. "
