"We booked Woodpecker and Mole End cottages for a family get together and birthday celebration over the early May Bank Holiday. Everyone had a fantastic time! The cottages were delightful and extremely well appointed. The children loved the play area, tennis court and visiting the horse and chickens. We used the Pepperpot Catering Company, as recommended by the owners, for our celebration meal and they were amazing with delicious food and excellent service. We also catered for ourselves and found the facilities really easy to use and everything we needed was available. The information about the area was really helpful. Some of us walked to Scorton while others drove and we met at the Barn cafe. Some of also drove to Beacon Hill Country Park for amazing views across to Blackpool Tower and the Lakes. The whole family (16 of us) agreed that it had been a memorable and delightful weekend and no-one wanted it to end. The information provided before arrival was really comprehensive and Beth kindly showed us around after booking to get our bearings and plan bedrooms. All in all a highly recommended venue and location."

"Perfect setting for a large family gathering. Loved the hot tub and pizza oven and peaceful location. Plenty of room for everyone. Giant kitchen for meal preparation and plenty of private space."

"We couldn’t fault our stay, it was lovely and very homely, we as a group have stayed in other pods and none compared to these. Everything had been thought of, from the complementary tea and coffee to the bread knife and toaster! Next time I will literally only be bring food, clothes and toiletries, oh and hopefully better weather 😉 We will all be back again soon, thank you Wigwam holidays."
