The buildings are beautiful, if in need of some maintenance, which is planned. The location is great - right by DIA and Wayne State and on the free streetcar line. The neighborhood and property felt very safe. Parking was on site for a reasonable fee. The staff were friendly and attentive.
Great location convenient to local restaurants and coffee shops. Close to downtown. Quiet area and bed was comfortable. Unique, Victorian charm. Easy and safe parking. Will definitely be back. Convenient affordability.
Convenient walking distance to the DIA. Desk folks were pleasant. Room has a nice and warm space heater. There were pastries/muffins (so-so) on Sunday morning. We headed down to Eastern Market to Farmer Franks for breakfast.
Gorgeous property and setup. Staff was great, room was lovely, and free breakfast is always a win!

Beautiful old buildings. Was VERY cold. They did have a space heater in the room. It is going to be renovated this year and it needs it. Miss the previous ownership's awesome breakfast.

I loved the location of this room. It was close to so many museums of all kinds. It was charming and I’m so glad someone has saved this older home for many people to enjoy. Wonderful place and great breakfast, too.
Beautiful buildings, well maintained and renovated. Good amenities and breakfast. Good location near the QLine and the institute of art. Friendly welcome.
An unique opportunity to experience a 19th century Queens Anne home located in the heart of Midtown Detroit. Cultural amenities are within reach. And the ambience of the inn is warmth and engaging.
This was an excellent, historic stay with superb amenities and a lovely staff. I cannot recommend it more. I feel really lucky to have stayed in such an amazing inn, and to learn about and be able to appreciate this unique place. See for yourselves and enjoy your stay
I picked the Inn because I love staying in properties like this. The room was nice but starting to show poorer shape. - the shades did not work well and make the room very dark (no sheers), bathroom was lacking hooks and adequate surfaces. The property promised breakfast but it was not available other than Sunday, the water jug wasn't changed for a day and there was no room cleaning at all for 3 days. I lost my electronic key and the front desk found one. All in all, a nice property which needs renovation and the staff more training. The buildings and location (and free parking) are great but you still have to deliver hospitality. I would not recommend for busines visitor.
Nice variety at breakfast. Parking was easy and fee was reasonable. The bed and bedding was incredibly comfortable!! the temperature of the room was a bit hard to regulate, too cool for the first snow day of the season.
