The staff at the Talbot Arms are very friendly and accommodating. This is not a fancy establishment, but it is clean and well maintained. The location is very handy along the Alaska Highway. The restaurant has a nice variety and the food is tasty.

The room was clean. It was convenient to have a restaurant and gas station on the same property. We had to wait a bit for the restaurant and gas station convenience store to open at 7am so we could grab coffee and breakfast snacks before leaving. I would definitely recommend to anyone passing through.

Talbot Arm Motel is a WELCOME sight/site, especially after a long day's travel. The staff are ALWAYS friendly and welcoming (I've stayed there several times). The property is dated, but well cared for. Because of it's remote location, it's understandable with things are not a equipped at facilities in larger cities. Considering the location, they Hotel does really well at helping customers feel welcome, safe, and cared about.

i liked my view and that cover overhead when sitting outside.
They had a restaurant and lounge that I didn't use.
But there was no kettle or coffee maker and no microwave.

It’s kind of in the middle of nowhere, but it was a convenient place to stay while driving the Alaska Highway. It wasn’t super nice, but it worked. There’s also free coffee, but breakfast was a little expensive.

Big fan of this motel…drove the ALCAN from the lower 48 to Anchorage and this place is a one of the best. The price is very reasonable with comfortable rooms with great views. The staff is incredibly kind and accommodating. The restaurant had some fantastic food although the menu is limited but that can be expected being so remote. We will definitely stay here again!

Check in at 4, she (claimed to be the manager) didn’t show up until 5:15 and denied she was late. Nobody here at night apparently because one party was extremely loud past 2AM.
It’s a good location but the experience with the manager and the noisy environment ruined our stay.
Will not return

No soap, shampoo in rooms. No coffee maker in rooms. Restaurant opens at late for travelers at 7 am. No power outlets in desk area. Rooms are very run down. Furnishings not updated in many years. No wifi in most all of rooms. Will not ever stay here again.

This property is in the middle of nowhere but the perfect mid point when driving from Haines or Skagway to the interior. The rooms aren’t fancy but facility is clean and they have a store, restaurant, gas, and lots of parking. We had a decent meal in the restaurant and enjoyed a peaceful night of sleep. We plan on staying there again on the way back home. The owner/manager was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed.

Keep in mind that when travelling north into Alaska. The outside of a structure may not be where its beauty lies. Safe travels.

The facilities were mostly well kept and the room was pretty nice, but we did find a couple dead bugs in the bathroom. Other than that, things seemed quite clean. The view was pretty good and the on-site restaurant was reasonably priced for pretty good food.

When I booked one room for 4 people I was told the rooms could not accomodate 4 persons. We then had to book two rooms at a hefty price. when we got there we paid for our rooms. When we to our rooms which were identical, there were two double beds, So that was a disapointment. then our cousins in the next identical room had a microwave and fridge, I was quite mad as we paid the same amount for the rooms. I will not give them a good reccomadaion. It is a shame as a Yukoner, I feel back for the tourist that are stuck to stay there. But there is no choice as it out in far country.
