"Location is wonderful, a few easy steps to Commercial Street, harbor, etc. The property is old and very much in need of refurbishment. There is evidence that the management is working to that end. Restaurant was closed, which is challenging if staying on the weekend because there are literally only a handful of places to eat on a Sunday and reservations are hard to come by. I stayed 2 nights and there was no housekeeping available unless requested. The front desk is not manned 24/7 but mobile...

"The hotel is very well situated for exploring the full area of the Shetland Islands. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. There is plenty of parking space and there is a fuel station next door and a very good fish and chip shop across the road, both of which are very useful."

"Where to start… Woman on check in had no idea what an Expedia pay at property reservation was. The remaining balance of the room was attempted to be taken before we even checked in. When we were eventually greeted by the very unhelpful woman, we were told that she “apparently” did not know what the reservation was. This is absolutely disgusting as clearly the staff have no clue what they’re doing. Then to dinner, a young girl has the most disgusting attitude for a waitress I have ever seen....

"We have stayed at the Kveldsro for a week plus on two occasions, and really enjoyed ourselves each time. The hotel is not a new building, but as a result is full of character. The rooms are very comfortable and the bathrooms fairly recently updated. The dining room and many of the bedrooms have a wonderful view over the Lerwick harbour. One of the best aspects is that the hotel is only a couple of minutes walk from Commercial Street, and within easy walking distance of most of the many...

"Beautiful views of crofts and the sea. The room was quiet and comfortable. The bed especially comfortable with cotton sheets and cushy duvet. Teas and coffee were available. Breakfast absolutely delicious with the host preparing any level of breakfast need."
