"Best hotel I have stayed in recently. Super friendly front desk staff, breakfast staff and maintenance staff. Large variety for breakfast and the breakfast areas and common use areas were very clean. Our room was clean and when our tv wouldn't work the person who fixed it was prompt and very friendly."

"We rented the room with the jetted tub in the second building. The instructions for starting the tub said there would be a decal on the tub, but there was no decal. We eventually found where the decal had previously been, but the button was difficult to operate. Even when we were able to get it started, the jets would only stay on for about a minute. After pressing the button several times, it stopped working altogether. The ice maker in the room also did not work. We mentioned all of these...

"If you are looking for a peaceful getaway in very clean accommodations, this is a great place for you. If you want to relax, it's nice a quiet with a view of the river or if you want to be more active, it's one hour from Madison and 15 minutes for walking trails and kayaks. You can walk 5 minutes to grab something easy to eat or run to the gas station for small stuff. The cabin felt like it was brand new, and we would definitely recommend this place to others."

"The house was perfectly fine. I just didn't realize the amount of stairs and that they were kind of steep. Some thing I would pay more attention to in the future as I look at rentals. I would recommend Coopers house for younger families."

"Window air conditioning was good but as they are a bit noisy it was just a bit hard to settle in. Our biggest shortcomings was no washcloths in the bathroom and the bath towels were extremely small. This should be an easy fix for the future as there is a Walmart within 10 miles. Overall the history and cuteness of the property made up for a bit of discomfort. The location was quiet and we enjoyed the outdoor space in the evening. Close to great food and shopping. We would return."

"Me and my wife spent a nice romantic weekend there. It was very scenic,relaxing and secluded. A perfect romantic get away. Just realize there are 2 cabins next to each other, so it’s possible that you could be sharing the area with other people. Fortunately it was just us two. It was a beautiful place.0"

"We had a great time. The house is clean and everything we needed was supplied including a well stocked kitchen. The beds were comfortable and the appliances were of good quality. The host immediately responded to our questions. What we truly loved were the massive mature oak trees just feet from the large back deck. The host provided bird feeders and food. We saw and photographed: cardinals, blue jays, Baltimore orioles, orchard orioles, wrens, red headed woodpeckers, red bellied woodpeckers,...

"Lovely older house that’s is well maintained and decorated. Comfy beds and lovely linens. Neighborhood was quiet. Enjoyed front porch swing and patio set on deck in evenings. Will stay again when here for art retreat or classes."
