"The cozy one bedroom hotel turned out to be a windowless closet. Because we objected so strongly to the host he was able to put us into a cottage since we were only staying for the one night. The cottage was acceptable except for the bed ..the picture on the website was not the room they were going to give us. Check-in said tell them you’re renting the front living room . There was just enough room for the bed and the toilet squeezed between two walls."

"I always enjoy my stay at Lazy Fish, the location and view can't be beat and I love that bringing the dog along is an option there. Tim and Nancy are great with communication and were helpful when we left charcoal for the grill at home. The cabins are older but I can see the updates every year. It has everything needed for a short stay in this unit."

"We love staying at the Spruce cottage every time we come up to Hubbard Lake. You wake up to find deer right outside and a beautiful sunrise off of the lake. Alpena is only 35 minutes away with plenty of nice restaurants and shopping. What an awesome and cozy place will definitely be coming back.Thanks again for having us"
