THE ROOM WAS OK CLEAN AND TIDY WITH GOOD PARKING. THE PERSON I SPOKE TO AT RECEPTION WAS PERSONABLE AND HELPFUL. THE ROOM WAS LOOKING A BIT TIRED BUT OTHER THEN THAT WE BOTH HAD A GOOD NIGHTS SLEEP.
THE DOOR INTO THE ROOM WAS DIFFICULT TO OPEN AND WAS NOISY TO CLOSE AND THE ROOM NEXT TO US HAD THE SAME PROBLEM.
OTHER THEN THAT IT WAS WELL PRICED FOR ONE NIGHT HENCE THE THREE STARS.

Clean room, comfortable bed and had enough that you needed for a short stay in local area. Located across from a pub that served breakfast so convenient.
The room was basic but couldn’t complain. Staff friendly and the area it’s beautiful. Not fair from derby city centre but enough for you to feel in the county. Pub next door was nice as well.
I was concerned when I read some of the reviews but was reassured it was OK. The hotel needs some TLC and tidying up from its premier inn days which will bring down its score if they are careful but overall I was happy with the hotel.
Hi the rooms are no good we got give a room number 15 was very dirty and smelly so we got an other room 12 which we got fuller with water from the shower. Please can you contact me on07846964395 I would like a refund because we didn’t end up staying here

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, room comfort
Overall reasonable and value for money.
Thought room and bathroom could do with some T.L.C. Bathroom had tiles coming off also unit in bedroom had seen better days.
View from window was blocked by tall caged trolleys.
On a positive note beds comfortable and linen clean and fresh.
I stayed in room 16 and it was bad, the carpets had stains and was damp, there was spider webs all over the place and had actual spiders living in them, the room smelt damp, the bathroom had mold everywhere
when entered the room there was a strange smell which turned out to be coming from one of the staff members sat on the bed whilst playing a game on the TV. The door was unlocked upon entering , now known to be the staff member in there playing a game. Also no shower curtain on the shower which meant not able to take a shower without water coming out. Will not go there ever again. It seems to be an old premier inn premises which has been left to deteriated badly.
On entering the room it was cold (14*) damp and musky. Set the heating to 21 but kept turning off every few hours resetting to its lowest setting 14. Woke at 3 in the morning as the room had dropped to 17 back to cold and damp. Makes the bed damp and musky. Bodged repairs look tatty.
Bathroom was freezing. It truly is an old run down premier inn that’s been sold off.
NEVER AGAIN.
Had booked a Family Studio room. A few days before I was contacted to let us know that unfortunately this would be unavailable aswell as several other rooms therefore we could have 2 rooms instead next to each other. I had also requested a cot again at this time as no response from a message I had previously sent.
When we arrived I was informed that there was no cots available due to someone else extending there stay. The staff member then said he would speak to his boss and hopefully go and buy a new one. He then came to tell us that he was able to go and get one but did we need it right away as he wanted to go to the gym. As it was already nearly 1830 I politely said we need it now. He came back with a cot within 30mins.
Rooms were ok but we had found an old tube of l*be under a bed. Not much privacy from the "outside" door that could be locked but can see through into the rooms when the doors were open to allow use of both rooms. There was also a light in the "hallway" area which was sensored but kept turning on and off regularly even when not near it. Very little amenities in the room, would be nice to have a couple of biscuits with a cup of tea. Beds were comfy being that they were actually "Premier Inn" beds.
Overall, apart from a comfy sleep not the best experience and I don't think we would be staying again if in Derby.
I booked a triple room for myself and 2 teenage children for a trip to Alton Towers from Ireland. On arrival there was 1 double bed and when I asked, they gave me a camp bed for my 6'3 son. I paid for a proper bed, not a camp bed that the springs popped on every time he sat on it. The room smelt musty and when I questioned it they said it was from the carpet in the hall, but there was must marks on the walls in the bedroom.
No breakfast provided, which I was not made aware of and reception not manned in the mornings. No advice provided on where to have breakfast so needed to go to a local filling station, not exactly ideal.
Linen was changed after 2 days but no fresh cups (only 2 provided for 3 people) no coffee/tea / milk etc left, 2 towels provided for 3 people - just so incredibly bad. 2 heaters electric heaters in the room, 1 worked. TV volume raised and lowered by itself...the list is endless, absolutely dreadful place to stay, we were in room 4
