B&B by the Sea Hirtshals

"B&B by the sea is essentially a B&b even if there is a restaurant on site. We had room 12 which turned out to be a 2 bedroom apartment with a balcony facing the ocean. The view was spectacular and it was very nice for the three of us to have two separate bedrooms. The room came with a breakfast buffet. I had expected a “ continental “ kind of setup but it was much more and turned out to be very nice with a large variety of offerings."
ICV SleepWell

"We booked ICV SleepWell shortly before our July 2026 trip because of its convenient location near the Hirtshals ferry terminal. ICV is a modern facility with accommodation, sports facilities, and an excellent swimming area. The pool is a real highlight, with a slide, massage pools, and a family sauna. It was not crowded during our stay, giving children plenty of space to play, and the price felt reasonable compared with larger Danish water parks. The location in Vrå is convenient, with walking distance to a few shops, a train station. Parking, and EV charging is available. Hjørring and Aalborg are easily reached by train. There are a few minor drawbacks. Like many places in this region, there is no air conditioning. Our room became warm because the sunshades had not been lowered before arrival, and tower fans could be a useful improvement. A few insects entered through open windows, but this was not a major issue. The room lacked a refrigerator and had limited luggage space. Mobile reception was weak with Telenor Denmark. Breakfast was simple but good and self-service. The reception also offers basic meals and snacks. Overall, ICV SleepWell is a very good choice, especially for families or travelers needing a convenient stop near Hirtshals. The swimming facilities, modern surroundings, and location are the main strengths. We would probably stay here again."

"I would've given full pot on everything but the bed did feel a little worn, when I sat on the side of the bed it just kinda caved in.....maybe it was just a soft bed? Anyway the other thing that I didn't like was even I was brushing my teeth in the sink it was kinda blocked and hair and bits of "things" filled the sink. Little disgusting but the staff that we had any sort of contact with were pleasant enough. Breakfast was ok👍🙂 Having said what it have... it was perfect for what we wanted and what we paid."

"Fabulous big windows looking onto port and ships coming and going. Lovely comfy beds. Curtains could do with blackouts but actually helped me get up! Lovely walk to Palm beach and Strandby one day. Then caught 973x just down from hotel to Saeby. Steadi restaurant amazing. Not much in town apart from port but smaller villages nearby definitely worth a visit. Hotel is perfectly priced and a fabulous option for Fred."

"Lovely peaceful place to stay. Quiet chalet style room. Delightful and safe. Aalbaek has a quiet charm. Lovely walks, lovely food and dunes! Breakfast was lovely and staff really cares and made sure everything topped up and as good as when service began. Highly recommend for a quiet peaceful stay."
