Cute little motel! The staff was helpful and friendly. Beds were comfortable, water pressure was great. Breakfast was truly grab and go- packaged muffins, honey buns etc. I would definitely stay again!

I was so grateful to find this property during what I would later find was the weekend of the Akron Marathon. It was the only lodging that hadn't doubled or TRIPLED its price, so major points for ethics. The room was spotless, from sturdy and reasonably plush (non-squeaky!) beds to non-gross carpet all the way to nice chairs and bathroom. Tile was not cracked anywhere, grout was clean, curtains were clean and covered the entire window, door locked securely, key card worked fine every time. Motion detector lights were a plus - I felt secure walking out to the ice machine at night. Yes, as other reviewers have pointed out, it is a one-story property. But the gardens surrounding it are absolutely beautiful, with zinnias, roses, marigolds, even morning glories. You can tell the owners have real pride in the property. They offer coffee, cider, juice, and pre-bagged gourmet muffins or pastries for breakfast at the office, which I thought was a really nice touch. The staff were sweet when I got there and kind when I left. No unnecessary charges added. No fuss. I was grateful. Other guests might be noisy, but that's only coming and going (same as in any other hotel). I never heard anything through walls. Parking lot noise will be parking lot noise, but even that was very, very subdued. If you mention in your reservation that you want a quieter room, they do their best to accommodate :)
