"Room was clean. The windows were dirty. Tv didn’t work. Management did not help."

"Lovely hosts, very clean, great location across from a public park/playground/school/church with lots of delicious restaurants nearby like Singapore Hawker. Yum! Gave it 4/5 because:1) extremely uncomfortable couch prevented my daughters and I from cuddling comfortably on the couch.2) it’s a basement suite and the owners upstairs walked around in shoes which was noisy, though they thoughtfully seemed to wait until one of us was up before vacuuming or doing truly loud activities.3) lacking in items many other well-equiped vacation rental units have, like cooking oil, coffee whitener/milk/cream and more than 2 pods of coffee for 3 people for 5 nights. Not a huge deal, of course, I just really appreciate it when I can arrive and have a cup of coffee with milk/cream/whitener as soon as I check in, without having to go shopping first. Everything else was great: communication, lock, water pressure/temp, beds, kitchen. If they got a new couch that didn’t have a couple of big concavities in it/broken springs, I’d stay here again. "

"Location is great! Quiet area with little to no disturbances and easy access to main roads. It is advertised as a spacious family home however it’s only the top half of a duplex so that was misleading, and with tenants below they have signs all over saying quiet time is 9pm with no laundry after a certain time to. Its mentioned in the add that the home has A/C, however when we asked about how to turn it on as nothing is obvious we were told to go into the garage and get a portable A/C unit. Add should state that as we shouldn’t have to go out of our way to use it. Overall we were happy with our stay and would rent again, note that the property is managed by a third party so they require an additional damage deposit outside of VRBO which is a bit of a hassle. "

"Ok. This is the most important review you’ll need about this property. I am going to be completely honest. I would stay here again, under the condition that I had earplugs. If you want to sleep in and somebody else doesn’t. You will know they didn’t want to sleep in. Every movement you make, your neighbors hear it. If you fart, they will know it. The doors are very loud, the wood floor does nothing to help with sound. It is a very nice accommodation and the bed was extremely comfortable. But I was awakened by all The movement from my neighbors and I did not have earplugs. There is a bit of a convoluted code locked door to get in as well. Also, parking is on the street, not behind the fence. All that being said. All of that being said. I would stay here again. I did not have a bad stay and things that could’ve made it better were within my control. So take it all to heart. Again,very comfortable beds and great location within walking distance to downtown Burnaby and the mall and other shops."
