"The desk clerk was friendly and accommodating. The hotel is outdated, I had to request a room reassignment because of the terrible odor and crawling bug on the vanity. The room I was reassigned to was more tolerable but there was a cigarette burn on the fitted sheet that was ill fitted on the mattress. my relatives told me the site is known for drug activities. I was reluctant to use the towels, and needed to use my own towels and the pillows I brought for home. The lobby is unaccessible to the public only a hallway with a teller window is used to check in and out. "

"This boathouse was a surprise to me, we've been to Monroe many times to visit our kids and grands, but never knew about it. I was searching VRBO and came across the boathouse and am I glad I found it!! So clean, comfortable, amazing owner who was on top of all communications, we have a tritoon, 22 ft....had no idea if this lake and boat ramp could accommodate but he assured me it could. We docked right beside the boathouse under shelter.The bed was so comfortable. It was great waking up to a fantastic view. One evening we forgot to grab supper, got back to the boathouse and he had left us spaghetti and sauce!!!!! It was perfect. No complaints at all."

"We had to make a mad dash from Illinois to Louisiana to retreive our adult daughter do to health issues and only had friday to sunday to pull a cargo trailer get her house packed in it, brought back with us and unpacked before my husband and i had to return to work Monday morning. The stress was over the top to say the least. Once we did get to the rental that Friday night, my 15 yearold was ready to fall down and aleep, but once we entered the home, she was wired for sound. She loved the bedroom. It was very spacious with a desk for her to charge her phone and make her bracelets she brought alone. We have stayed in multiple rental homes for our travels. This home is by far the most home feeling we have had in any place weve layed our heads. It was so big and roomy. I believe my most favorite part about the home was all of the plants and flowers. Im a plant person and have just about every one this property has. So, definitely felt like home. Before i bring this review to an end i want to mention a few things about the host. You will never stay at a home with a host as communitive and kind as Ivory. I ended up not only bringing my daughter home but her husband and my other daughter aswell. I was not expecting this and was very stressed how much money this trip was costing. I messaged Ivory and asked if they could stay also and it was granted. And big enough for all of us.Stay here with your family Its home away from home with a wonderful host!"
