"A good stay at Oaklands. Staff friendly and helpful. Room was good, perhaps could do with a deep clean in places and breakfast was ok. Not a great deal of choice at breakfast - e.g. no cereals, fruit, pastries etc... The cooked breakfast however was nice."

"Clean room, just needed the shower updating as it leaked badly over the bath through the shower screen and on to the floor (room 116). Really lovely position overlooking the beach. We stayed for one night and enjoyed a wonderful breakfast, which was made even better by the helpful and friendly staff. My husband is a celiac and required gluten free food. They sorted everything for him and nothing was too much trouble. We will be back! Thank you ☺️"

"My two daughters and I were informed by reception the night before that breakfast would start at a certain time. However, when we arrived the next morning, we were told by the lady behind the bar that because it was a bank holiday, breakfast would open an hour later. While we understood the change, the staff member was very rude, obnoxious, and unprofessional in the way she spoke to us. When we said we would report the matter, she replied, “I don’t care.” I later reported this to reception, where both staff members were very apologetic and understanding."
