As the former village smithy, Yr Hen Efail boasts a rich history and character that will transport you to a bygone era while providing all the modern conveniences you need for a comfortable stay. The living area has a wood burner which adds an extra touch of romance and warmth, the dining area is where you can enjoy romantic candlelit dinners making it an ideal choice for a couples’ getaway. The kitchen is well-equipped, perfect for whipping up delicious meals using local produce. Retire to the inviting double bedroom, a peaceful haven for a restful night’s sleep.

Outside, you’ll find a charming side garden seating area. This delightful spot is the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee or sip a glass of wine in the evening while taking in the peaceful surroundings. The garden runs alongside an open river, offering a picturesque backdrop for your stay.

Would definitely come back!

We had such a lovely stay! The space was incredibly cosy, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable visit. Some interesting, historic features too! Mike and Dawn were warm, welcoming, and went out of their way to make sure we felt at home. From thoughtful little touches (wine and biscuits for us and treats, towels, blankets for the pup) to great local recommendations, their hospitality really stood out.The only thing to note is that access to the garden is through the front of the property, meaning you have to step onto the street and go round to get there. It wasn’t a huge issue for us, and the road isn’t exactly busy but something to keep in mind. Overall, a fantastic stay in a charming place – we’d happily return!
