"Lovely property, definitely not a hotel for anyone with physical challenges due to steep narrow winding stairs and no elevator. Delicious golden syrup shortbread treats in the room daily. Super kind and helpful staff that pre-arranged our pick-up and return to the airport at a fixed price of 125 pounds."

The room has wi-fi and air-conditioning. The hotel is situated right in the city centre which is fantastic but at the weekend you have to allow for students partying. Would we stay agin? Yes indeed!"

"We loved this hotel as it is well positioned in Oxford. We were met as we drove up by the valet who took care of our car. The hotel is in an old prison which was cool. We had rooms in the female prison block which was across the courtyard. The rooms were very comfortable. We had drinks at the bar which was great. Breakfast was delicious and I would recommend getting it as part of your stay. We enjoyed our stay here and would book it again if we returned to Oxford."

"It's a lovely hotel in a listed building so no lift just winding stairs so it's probably not for people with limited mobility or vast amounts of luggage although the manager did get a member of staff to carry my case to my room while I was checking in. The stairs aside, it was clean and the staff were really friendly. It's right in the centre of Oxford, so is handy for all the city centre shops, restaurants and museums. Although there is no room for a restaurant the hotel has negotiated a discount in the next door cafe (which does a great full English Breakfast) and also a nearby Italian restaurant for dinner."

This is just steps away from the Ashmolean museum, and right near a bus stop for easy transport around the town. "We stayed for one night in a privilege room. The room was spacious and clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was a basic self service buffet and everything was fresh and well presented. At the time of visiting there was no restaurant for lunch and the bar wasn’t open for an evening drink. As a handy place to stay while exploring Oxford the hotel is ideally placed to walk into town. Would recommend."
