"My wife and I celebrated a special occasion with a weekend getaway to Red Wing and a stay at the St. James Hotel. The experience was wonderful from start to finish. The staff helped make our weekend even more memorable when they accommodated my request to have roses and champagne waiting in our room as a surprise for my wife. She was absolutely delighted. The room was comfortable and well-appointed, and the amenities were excellent. The exceptional service and attention to detail made our stay truly special. We look forward to returning in the future."

"Nice place with interesting history and architecture. And the staff was nice. My biggest problem was that our bedroom had no window. The adjoining living area did, but I can tend to be claustrophobic so was very uncomfortable with a wall with no windows bedside me. We never knew what the weather was when we woke up and no sunlight came in. I don't think they should have put us, or anyone, in that room without warning them first!!"
