We found the 2 bedroom dorm room to be as we expected. It was very bare and simple but the beds were comfortable, it was quiet and the price was reasonable for what we got. No TV in suite so bring your devices.
The cupboards are bare in the kitchenette so bring what you need to have breakfast in your room. There is no place to get coffee without getting in the car and taking a drive so keep that in mind! Next time we’ll bring something along. The parkade is a bit of a walk away and costs $11 per night for parking.
Overall it was basic but what we needed.
Only thing I’d change would be to have breakfast available earlier - 6:00am start preferred, so that guests can utilize breakfast option and still have time to get to early professional meetings.
Thanks!
I liked the 1-bedroom suite and found the room comfortable. However, I was disappointed with the " full wet bar". This was the description on the web site and I found it misleading. To me, a "wet bar" is a fridge stocked with drinks. To even say, a "full" wet bar suggests this. It turns out the room had a sink, fridge, coffee maker and microwave. Please keep the description to say just that. Also, desk lamp did not work - light bulb may have been burnt out.
Very close to the McEwan Conference center. The breakfast is included with your reservation.

Okay
It’s just a basic hotel. Don’t really like the bedding or the sinks or floor. Hey parking is annoying. But the breakfast is outstanding and staff kind.
We stayed at Hotel Alma for a campus tour and it was fun to be right on campus. We ate in the dining hall and got a good feel for student life. The hotel is clean and the staff is friendly. The rooms are tiny though.
