The room was clean, the beds were comfortable and the staff were helpful and on hand with any queries we had. Breakfast is better to be pre-booked and was very generous. We enjoyed our stay - thank you! Oh and the prices of the drinks in the pub were excellent!

Staff were friendly however the room wasn’t ready for a number of hours after check in and loud music until after midnight. The sheets also had hairs on them.

The Globe is a lovely old inn and the floors and walls were all quirky and a little wonky - all part of it's charm. I had a lovely bright room with a wide windowsill overlooking the main street. The adjoining wet room had everything I needed - including fluffy white towels. I had 2 wonderful nights' sleep in a comfy bed with fresh white - good quality - linen. The staff were friendly and genuinely helpful. They helped me with my bags - even carrying them out to the car for me (I am disabled) without being prompted. The public car park was across the main street with lots of spaces - and compared to my own home town was cheap. I will be back to explore the area further.

No food served despite website saying they do. No food in town other than fish and chips locally. Shower terrible and leaked in to the bedroom Locals and not friendly arrival Wifi didn’t work

There was no breakfast available even though it was part of the deal and no chef to cook a dinner. In view of the lack of food I checked out and went elsewhere. The Globe staff were very friendly and understanding and told me to contact you for a refund which I am doing.

Big mention to Jane and Ollie who were so welcoming and friendly. Food was excellent. Room was quirky and lovely and quiet. Very peaceful. Very clean in rooms and in the pub itself. Lovely little town with lots of things to do in the area.

The sash window was held up with two bits of wood when we entered the room, although cold outside, once closed we knew the reason why, the room had the most horrendous smell even worse in the bathroom. I had to buy 2 air fresheners, but they didn’t help. Furniture stained, crockery chipped and no spoon for making tea/coffee. No breakfast as the kitchen is closed. Positives - towels, when we got them were clean and the bedding was fresh otherwise we wouldn’t have stayed. Thank goodness for only one night.

Jane the host was lovely and she was the cook as well and food was delicious the inn is over 150years old so you will have to take that into account but we had a great stay and would recommend

We received a wonderful warm welcome and the same level of friendly hospitality throughout our stay. The food was excellent and we enjoyed the company of locals in the pub. We thoroughly recommend this as place to stay, eat or just have a drink in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

Avoid, avoid, avoid. Quite possibly the worst place I have stayed. It's not 'normal pub noise', it's club music from 15years ago playing until around midnight. No soundproofing. Room was filthy, hairs on top of the bed (didn't lift the quilt to see what was underneath); floor hadn't been vacuumed, was dirty and heavily stained: toilet hadn't been flushed, let alone cleaned, whatever was in there had been festering for what looked like a week. No air con and no fan in the room. Room felt unsafe, window was a single glazed sash window that wouldn't lock. Rude comment made by pub user downstairs when I checked in. I was meant to stay for 2 nights, as that is what I paid for, but I checked out after 1 night and spent the second night sleeping in a car on a nearby campsite...which was significantly nicer than The Globe Inn. When I asked for a refund in the morning when checking out after the first night, I was told they were unable to process it, as they didn't know how. Since then, Paula has made no effort whatsoever to reach out to me following my feedback to her employee and I have been offered no refund. DO NOT STAY HERE.

A lovely local pub with local customers. Very friendly. Good food. Most comfortable bed I have slept in for years. Parking right behind pub and free from 6pm to 9am (10am Sundays). Wet room excellent.

The bar staff, land lady, locals were lovely. If I am down in the area again I will 100% stay here the food was lovely, the beer was good and I felt at home down south. ( I am from West Yorkshire)

The Globe is a great pub/ bed and breakfast. The room we had was large and clean with a en-suite shower room. The breakfast was excellent and you can choose what you like from their cooked breakfast list the night before.The village of Buckfastleigh is very nice and you have the Abbey and moors on your doorstep. Great value.
