After dining in the ground floor pub/restaurant, the small single room's lock failed to latch, and i was upgraded to a spacious corner room. The carpet in the room had some stains, which I have also noticed at several other hotels during my travels in Australia. Check-in was smooth, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. A big plus was the location. Baylis Street offers plenty of shops and dining options within easy walking distance of the hotel. There is also a gas (petrol) station located directly across the street, which is very convenient. There is ample parking available both on-site and off-site. If parking on-site, be mindful that the parking stalls are quite narrow. Off-site parking is available on the street, behind the hotel, and in the parking lot of Dan Murphy’s, so parking is generally not an issue. "
