It was a really cute space! The neighborhood looked a little sketchy, but it was really quiet. The woman who showed us to our room was knowledgable and sweet. The room was put together nicely as well. My one complaint was that, being an older house, you could easily hear what was going on in other people's rooms and out in the hallway. There was only 2 bathrooms, which was a pitty because I wanted a nice soak in the tub. However, we were there to see a concert so it suited our needs perfectly.
It was a very enjoyable and comfortable stay. The owner personally serves her customers and makes them feel at home. My room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was family style; my scrambled eggs were delicious. However the breakfast cost was extra. Also, I didn't have a bathroom in my room, but using the shared bathroom wasn't a problem at all. The area around the hotel is all residential, but you can easily walk to restaurants, transportation, or enjoy the nature near the Boston Reservoir. This place will be my choice #1 when I travel to Boston again.
POORLY REPRESENTED ON EXPEDIA. Nowhere on the website does it mention that this is a room in someone’s personal house. It appears on Expedia that this is a B&B, which are usually wonderful and we stay at a lot, but this did not feel like a B&B. It felt like we were an awkward friend asking to sleep over. My biggest complaint is that it does not say ANYWHERE that there is a shared bathroom. In fact, from the way it is displayed on the website, it suggests that there is a private bath in each room. As someone who navigates this website frequently, I know what items to look for when booking and read top reviews, which is why I feel so betrayed by the website. Not only is it a shared bathroom, but it is the owners personal bathroom, littered with their personal items. Neither my husband nor I felt comfortable using the bathroom to get ready let alone shower, which was an important step to our morning today. On top of that, the Cape Cod room we chose shared a very thin wall with the bathroom, so our heads when we laid down were practically against the toilet on the other side, and any time anyone else used the bathroom we were awakened.
This place was awkward, confusing, and a big waste of money for what we needed. Had it been properly presented on the website as a room in a home with a shared bathroom, we would not have chosen it for this stay.
Our room was comfortable and quiet. Natalie, the host, was super friendly and interesting to talk to. She provided a hot home made breakfast with lots of additional options to meet various people's tastes. We definitely would love to return!
Great area, walking distance to restaurants and Whole Foods. Rooms nicely decorated and had a mini-fridge. Bathroom had everything you could possibly need including Charmin Toilet Paper. Natalie was a delight-super friendly and helpful.
Natalie is a fantastic host! She did everything possible to ensure we had a great stay. The included breakfast was nice. The unit was clean and spacious and exactly what we needed for our quick trip to Boston.
Friendly and helpful. Very homely.
Big selection of ‘condiments’ on breakfast table. Free waters. Lounge area and maybe free toiletries? Wasn’t sure as they looked more like the owners.
Only thing to be aware of is there are steps/stairs! Quite a few of them. Also bathroom is shared but didn’t cause an issue at anytime unlike other places have.
The room was nice. We didn't stay for breakfast although it was offered. The parking is pretty dicey around the property and I wish that it had more of an outside marking.
Natalie is very welcoming and accommodating towards dietary needs, she give dairy free options and plenty of options for a nutritious breakfast. This was very surprising and stood out to me the most.
Natalie was very gracious and accommodating. She went above and beyond to meet my needs for my stay in Boston.
The room and shared bathroom were very clean. There was a mini fridge in the room, as well as a TV and WIFI which were very helpful. Natalie made a wonderful breakfast and also had other choices available like cereal and yogurt. Of course the most important choice (for me) was coffee! There was other choices as well. This has been my 3rd stay at the Natalie House and I recommend it as a great place to stay in Boston!

Nice place to spend a night
This is a house in the middle of a neighborhood. It is quiet and safe. Plenty of street parking. There are several rooms on the main floor all sharing a common bathroom. It was clean, they were friendly, and provided a nice sit down breakfast. The decor is slightly dated. The bed was comfortable. It is walking distance to at least 6 different types of cuisine. We were dropping off our daughter at BC which is 10 minutes away. I would stay here again.
Nice little house! You fell like a king because Nathalie is cooking for you in the morning and she is such a sweet person! Everything is at your disposition!
