"The hotel was plain but comfortable. Very clean and a good size room for Europe. We enjoyed our balcony that had a small view of the sea. The best part was the short walk to the Monte Carlo Casino and many parks and shops/restaurants. Above the hotel was more local places where we really enjoyed an evening of food and music. They kindly let us check in early after our room was ready. The downfall for us was having to go outside the hotel to buy ice for drinks on our balcony. We didn’t buy the breakfast as it was too plentiful but had to buy the coffee. The first woman who checked us in was so nice, but the next 2 days, the gentleman had no personality at all. You cannot get an Uber from there as we needed to go to the Port Hercule for a cruise. We had to lug our 5 suitcases a block over. That is not the hotels fault, but the law between France and Monica."

"This was my second visit to the Royal Hotel which I was looking forward to! On arrival no recognition for it being my second visit- no welcome message or fruit etc in the room! Staff are great especially the pool team and the breakfast team! The room i had was the same as last time- I asked if I could have a late chexk out at 2pm and told no!! I still love the hotel but it could do better to recognise returning guests!"

"Bathroom was spacious. Breakfast full buffet was 12 euros but was totally worth it. I loved the bed, it felt like sleeping on a cloud. The staff were super helpful. We loved that water (including sparkling water), coffee and tea were included."
