Had an amazing stay! Would highly recommend this property to anyone coming to Sundre. It’s tucked away in the trees, it’s so peaceful and quiet. The house was well stocked had everything we needed. The host was great to deal with, answered all questions quickly. We would recommend to others and if we come to sundre again we would book this place. The house had so many windows and let lots of natural light in. Just a great place to stay. 5 stars!

Excellent stay again!!!

We were in the area for 4 days , and used this great spot as home base. Well stocked, clean, spacious. Daniel is terrific to deal with.

A Bit of Heaven

Wow, absolutely beautiful and so quiet! Had mostly sunny weather and 2 great bonfires and many great walks by the river. Wish I was the owner!!!

Beautiful secluded spot

We had a great springtime stay for a family golf trip. It's a short drive away from some top quality courses in Sudre. The house is well appointed, and in a beautiful secluded setting along James River. Thanks for the stay!

Great getaway in the country

We were there for a hunting trip, central Alberta. Perfect for us, mostly sleep and showered there. Met the host and his son, wonderful people. Plan on going back if they will have us

Paddling getaway

A nice cottage in the woods next to the river, just what we were looking for. Amazing view of stars/milky way at night by the campfire. Close to Burnstick Lake for kayaking which was our main purpose for choosing the location. Had everything we needed.

Daniels’ James River cabin

Access to the James River was exactly what we were looking forward to. It was beautiful. Daniel was very accommodating to our dog and the property was perfect for bringing her for walks and wading in the river. The cabin provided everything we needed for our stay. We struggled slightly with the ants around the fire pit and the wasps around the deck but that is to be expected with such seclusion and untouched beauty. Thank you for everything Daniel.

Beautiful Property

We liked our stay and the location was amazing. The nearby brook was beautiful and the short paths in the woods were truly a great representation of Alberta farm country. We were about an 1.5 hours away from some hikes in the foothills which was great. The property did, however need a little maintenance and I think fall is always a challenging time when it comes to mice.

House on the woods by a river

Booking for a 5 day summer getaway. Perfect for us & 2 kids. Everything you need. River 60 yards away. Lots of forest & wilderness. Great fires & roasting marshmallows in the evening. House very nice & well equipped. Excellent communication with Daniel the owner. Lots to do nearby. Might book again in a future summer.

Very nice

The house is very nice and spacious. It rained a lot when we were there. So it was great to have room to play one of the many board games in the house. Daniel is a very nice host and ready to help. It was too rainy to really explore the outsides and use the nice deck. The location is conveniently on the way between the mountains and Calgary.

Peace and Quiet

Lovely stay at your cabin. The location was amazing. You heard nothing except for the river, birds, and the wind in the trees, and the crackling of the fire at the firepit at night. We were totally rejuvenated by the end of the week. We brought everything we needed, so did not leave the property. Felt normal having campfires, casting out on the river, playing games, totally left Covid 19 behind for the week.

Average but nothing special

House was in a nice area but property was run down and unkept. No phone service or wifi. Just a bunch of little things like ran out of toilet paper the second day. Coffee maker was not clean and was plugged and didn’t work. Wouldn’t go back
